hahaha i think i do... y else would we all be responding so quickly lol
BTW i like your sig... enlightening of what people think of cars that were changed from fr to ff in the mid 80's... sometimes i too am confused... like was the accord or integra ever fr... ok not ever casue that is a dum questions and the accord and civic are old model lines... but i mean the ones that look like truenos... and where the 80's escorts and sierras fr or ff... if anyone knowns feel free to enlighten

i am out for now

I said that when I lived in the States. I was at school and this kid was bragging about his dad's car and he asked everyone what their dad's drove. I said he has the last of the FR Corollas. Then, well you get where it went from there. I'm about 100% sure the Integra was always FF. The Accord is an old car, a car that nobody owns anymore :) , so I wouldn't know. The only Escort I know of is the Cosworth. A 4WD, turbocharged car made for as a homologation model so it could enter WRC (I think). And I don't know what a Sierra is.

Scooby came from many Subraru owners who decided jsut to call em scooby, i dunno y, but thats what writers in Super Street magazine call em, most American import mags call em scoobies, i ono go figure, and sadly they dont have Cosworth around the states, they might later next year but im not sure, its another rumor, ive seen a Cossie Escort in action in Getaway in Stokholm 2, thaat things insanely fast, does TM really drive a scooby now? too bad, he was good in a EVO, oh well, hey Tom, what rims do u have on ur AE? SSR?

well im bored too and its 11:50 pm, oh well, how bout puttin one of these suckas in ur engine bay

That is the nicest RB26 I've ever seen... Got anymore pics of extreme engines?

As for my wheels. At first I... I don't remember the company, but it's those cheap 5-spoke wheels. Then I got myself a pair of black RS Watanabe's. Not the 100% black ones, but the ones with the silver around them. My car is pretty much the Initial D "Hachi-Roku" except for the Fujiwara thing on the driver's door and the obvious Group A engine.

yeah watanabes r good stuff, also, theres a guy down the street from me that has a AE, its blue though with sum SSR mesh wheels in bronze, im not sure what else hes got under the hood, but then again i dunno the guy, and couldnt really find any other engines except this one, its of the Top Secret R34, oh well, time to go to sleep, hope u have fun out there tom, im out

     Well, tonight was very, very awesome. There were so many people racing. I was challenged by a very fast RPS13. I accepted. The battle was a complete waste due to him spinning out of control while he was following me, which makes me the victor. My dad was also there, but nobody challenged him due to his age (or his car?). My best friend got challenged by three guys who drive R32's. He denied both downhill battles and chose to race the uphill battle. He was victorous as well. He didn't even tell me he was planning on racing (I'm his translator). There was so really neat battles also. Soarer Vs. Chaser, R33 Vs. FD3S, and the last one was NA1 (NSX) Vs. EVO VI. Very interesting tonight. Now I have to wait another week for this... back to boredom. It's 4:25AM so I think I'll be going to sleep now.

awsome......u need to buy urself a DV cam so u can record and share with all, that;d b sweet, so u speak fluent japanese tom? how long'd it take u to learn?

I'm not sure on the exact time but I'll give a ballpark figure on how long it took me to learn. My dad had me learning when I was 10 (I think), and when we moved here, he told me not to speak to him in English. That helped out a lot. I'm 23 now and I've been speaking it perfectly (I even got the accent). To understand all the characters is the biggest issue of learning. Very rarely I'll run into something I've never read before. But with cars, I know everything.

I've heard of that GT-R, it doe's 8 second runs on the 400m (1/4 mi.). I've seen their site and I watched the video of it almost flying off the dyno. It's pretty cool. What did you guys think of the drifting video?

-Tom

Well, its 6:39AM right now, and I haven't slept. My best friend and I have been working on this 3D Modeling using a program called Rhinoceros. Not sure if it's popular in the States, but we like it a lot. He made the body, I made just about everything else. Give me some honest feedbacks or opinions. Note: This model is not even close to completion. (no pics, they're too big)

-Tom

I saved them both as .jpg and it's 134k I think. A .gif is a larger file (178k). Those are the sizes AFTER I changed it from 1280x1024 to 800x600. I'll just send my friend all the pictures and he'll make a site. Most likely he will give his own descriptions (he did on last site), and it was kind of corny. We'll see what happens.

-Tom

I found a lot of pictures so I'm going to scan them, and make a quick website. I got pics of my car, my dad's car, and my best friend's car. I'll post it up in a few minutes... almost 6AM, I'm that bored...

-Tom

uve gotta take more recent pics tom, man i wanna c the car now, i wanna c all 3 of the cars in ur garage, and that 3d modelin is lookin pretty good, now if only they sold AE's still, or @least if i could find one thast in good condition, most of the ones i c on the streets r beat up and stuff, so basically u buy a cheap car and u spend the price that i costs to buy a brand new car to fix that one up, oh well i guess if thats what u gotta do 2 b takumi, or tom

If you have a trashy AE86 over here, you basically lose respect from all drivers. The AE86 is greatly respected and I'd say at least 80% of people that own them here don't deserve this car. I saw an old lady driving one and I almost died laughing. She definately deserves one :). The only bad looking AE86's I've seen are the ones that were involved in an accident, have WAY too many decals, and the ones that are stolen (VERY unlikely). I might consider buying a camera this week. I didn't think AE's are mistreated in the U.S. I guess some people don't respect cars like we do over here. Mine was (and still is) perfect. My dad's was perfect, and my best friend's needed a paintjob (it was black/grey :yuck: ) . The people I work with got race used AE86's in great condition. I know a few people with cameras so I'll ask to borrow it one of these days. Thanks for the comment on the 3D stuff.

yeah, ppl in the states treat cars pretty badly, sum that is, all teh AE's ive seen r rusted, damaged, and very very dirty, they buy em new and jsut let em rot basically, if all AE's here were like urs or any1s in japans, the world would b a better place...lol, but yeah almost every car ive seen made b4 1991 is trashy, even my moms Civic that she gave me is pretty battered up, i missin a right side mirror, ppl jacked all my emblems, and ive got dents on the front fender and the rear quarter panel, its pretty saddening but ill live, it jsut makes me wanna go to japan more and more, man it sounds like such a great place, sadly i only speak mandrin, and i doubt i can learn japanese that quickly, and yeah im chinese, i moved here when i was 4 with my parents, the only thing is that i can read or write it, sigh....:banghead:

i have seen some clean ae86's... bu the majority of them are beaten up and put put puttin.... japan is a great place... i havent been there since four years ago... and i have hear that tokyo has changed... goten dirtier... but i dont think there is a better place in the world... i am a quarter japanese and a rest white... lol... cant read most kanji but can read all hirigana and katakana... just not understand it all lol... learned only remedial stuff... prolly talk like a freaking 4 year old lol...
if you look at people an there porsches most of them are in fantastic condition... as long as we exclude 914 and 924... i think its just cause the toyotas and hondas were cheap to begin with so people didnt bother to see them for the cars they were... just saw them as crap and treated them that way... kinda how americans are...

no repsect... people scratching brand new cars... things like 350z's... such a shame... dam kids

Well, it's a great place to live. That's the reason why my dad left the U.S. He told me before we left that he couldn't handle living here and stuff. I forgot what he said, but I'm sure as hell glad we left. It's really easy to learn if you try not to speak English (or Mandrin in your case) and always focus on speaking Japanese. It's great, Japanese girls are great, Japanese cars a great (cars more that girls ;)), and the food is not that great. I'm always cooking because I can't stand most the food here. It sucks that cars are treated like dirt over there... if U.S. people only respected the cars for what they do, it would be great. I can only imagine what a JZA80 is going to look like in 10 years... :( Living here is like living in a giant video game. When a new game comes out, it's advertized everywhere and people dress up as that character (last Zelda that came out...) and they dance and party. The 2003 Tokyo Game Show is soon... there's another headache for me. But back on subject, people jacked your emblems... why would someone do that? How much could the "H" emblem cost?

-Tom

Japan over the last couple of years has had some problems, but now they have stricter/more strict (I don't know which one to use) laws for polluting... The Porsche 914's and 928 are mistreated as well? Just because it's not a 911, people treat them bad... I like the 928 due to it's headlights :). I think you're right about why Americans mistreat the 'cheaper Toyotas and other JDM cars.' Even though I've spent over $10,000USD on my entire car... We had a situation on a group of kids that had no money, no shelter, and no family to take care of them. If they saw anyone who was wealthy, they would vandalize all their property. Cops nailed them though, and we haven't had problems after that. On safety, Tokyo is a very safe city to live in. Compared with NYC or Sydney, etc. I think it's one of the safest places to live. But that's my opinion.

-Tom

lol... well not because they arent 911's... 944 after 85 are generally treated well.. and i didnt mean 928 people take care of there 928's... esp gt...gt4 and gts... i meant the car that came before the 944... forgot what it was called... i have yet to see a crappy 911 but i am sure they exist... personally i would love a 928 gt and above... or a 944 turbo s or above... great cars...
