I have bene looking forward to making this thread for a very loooong time!

I have finally got myself proper work!

I start on Monday and I am doing a customer service role at High Wycombe Railway Station (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Wycombe_railway_station).

I will be working Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 11:30am (25 hours per week) at £7 per hour. And you know what? I cant bloody wait!:D

Okay, so Lee, Evan, Ashers and myself now have jobs...

Jack? (Both of you)

Congrats on the new job Allianz :) 👍 Im glad you had the drive to keep looking for work (unlike some) and now its paid off!

does this affect in any way your attendance to UKGTP? I was kinda hoping you'd come... mainly so we'd spread the costs between more people :p

Congrats, Ashley. Good luck on obtaining the full-time position. 👍

You work at a choo-choo station? Sweet! Do you get to make the train go "Toooot... Toooooot!" ?

...Okay, I'll stop...

Still, sounds like a decent job. Is £7 per hour a good rate? I have attempted to fathom the tax, benefit, cost-of-living situation in the UK and it continues to dumbfound me. In the US, $7 or so an hour is a pretty good rate for the average single person (usually in College, or maybe in High-School), but our cost of living is a lot lower, and we don't have the same social-services you do there...

Nope! I am still coming to UKGTP:D, Me and Suzzie are hopefully travelling to Newark on the Friday, I finish at 11.30am on Fridays and she is gonna ask for her day off to be n that Friday (she gets 1 day off every week).

@Yssman, £7 per hour is pretty good yeah, my previous job back in 2005 in a supermarket, I was on £3.91, minimum wage for someone of my age is £3.30, 18-21 its £5 and 22+ minimum wage is £5.35 so £7 is very good imo:D

All trains go "woo woo" equally.
