It might pay to use fuel map 2 or 3 and not see much of a difference in lap times. And again with other cars on track it's all about keeping them behind you ;)

Keep people behind you isn't too difficult. Trying to pass other people in front of you will the difficult part.

I'll have to do a test to see if fuel lasts as long as tires and if not I'll look at going FM2 and if that's not enough FM3. If that makes lap times too low then I'll calculate something else

Working on my livery and I have no idea how to handle the front of a car. I don't want to make it ugly with a bunch of sponsor decals but can't find a cool pattern that does something for me.

I would put some sponsors on. With this being a short track your probably at least going to get a few scratches. You need somebody to bill for damages.

I'm surprised you didn't keep that Information to yourself.

I haven't actually tested anything yet so it's all just words. I also never said "this is what I'm doing in the race" so you still don't know what I'm gonna end up doing. Neither do I

I was just messing around with you. I don't mind sharing stuff like that with everyone.
Remember we are all about helping others get better so the racing will be more competitive.

After some more testing I discovered I can run the same 58 second lap times on FM1 FM2 FM3 and If I remember correctly FM3 gives me 11 more laps of fuel here. Now all this sounds good but I really don't know how beneficial it will be in an actual race.

This is just guesswork, but considering how tight Tsukuba is you can go all the way to FM6 aside from the back and home straight and still be competitive in the race itself :)

What kind of lap times is everyone running so far who practiced at Tsukuba?? I ran about 50 laps today with my best on RH a 58.137 so far, I think I can run in the high 57's with a little more practice with my Citroen. This is my first time on the track with a Gr4 car, I think. The downside is I tried the Trophy car and ran a 58.3 with only 6 laps of running.

Correction: I ran a 58.1 in the Lancer I think back in April according to GTS course records.

I can get into the 57 second range on a hot lap but like earlier when we were practicing I can run consistent 58 second laps over and over on FM3.

Some good info going on here guys. Thanks for testing and sharing info on the fuel maps! I would have most likely not tested these myself. I really do appreciate all the time and effort.

Is this upcoming race to help prepare for the race between the two "clubs"? This thread moves a lot faster than some other ones so there is a lot to catch up on.

No it's just our next monthly race. We are still working out details on the club vs club race.
Soon as @ynot decides on the car and settings we can then decide on a day & time.
Personally I'm fine with racing anything because it's all in fun.

We have some changes coming for the September race and I will announce the small change after the August race.

Qualifying for the August race at Tsukuba Circuit will be done differently than the other races.
Because it is such a short track and everyone has had time to prepare & practice for this race qualifying will be done in groups of 5 for 10 minutes. This will take 40 minutes to get the whole field done and the track will not be so crowded.

Good idea. And again, if you are on a hot lap and notice a slower car ahead please flash your lights so we know you're behind and can adjust accordingly. I don't wanna mess anyone else's lap up just as much as they don't want someone in their way.

It's up to each individual but 10 minutes is 10 laps. If your happy with your time before the 10 minutes is up then just pull into the pits so you won't be on the track. Not sure if RS will even last 10 hot laps.

I have not forgot about it. I am just busy with work and dealing with a sleep disorder that can at times get me down and not feeling like doing a damn thing but lay down. I will be going on vacation starting July 27th and returning around August 15th. We will get this done. Maybe the new track and one of the new cars once we see what they are. Formula GT????

On another note...fastest way to get a hold of me is message me on PSN since I do check it almost everyday. I check gtplanet once maybe twice a week for messages.

I will be on Vacation August 5th thru Aug 13th so that works out good. Anyway I know you stay busy and we are in no hurry. We will get to it eventually.

Hopefully the new track will be good because I'm not excited about anything in this new car pack. The likelihood of having two 20 million credit cars is very high and just ridiculous along with 3 cars you could probably walk faster than they will go.

I'm someone who likes Road Cars much more than Race Cars and these recent car packs have been huge disappointments to me.

Have to disagree. I love slow cars  I miss my Midget.

I'm not saying they can't be fun but GTS has really pulled the enthusiasm out of racing road cars all together.
You never hardly see a single lobby racing the VW Bus or the Fiat.
With not a lot of excitement surrounding N-class racing to begin with I just don't see those 3 cars helping to turn the tides.
