Here in Canada i checked out a local EB a couple days ago and asked the guy working there when GT4 would hit shelves, he told me Feb 22nd. At first i didnt think much of it then i started googlin' around and noticed other ppl saying similar things.

North America always gets games b4 Europe, thats always expected and is consistent with Europes March 09 (or 11 or whatever) release date.

Time will tell, but i got this marked on my calendar regardless :)

None of us can....but just hold out till the end(which is near). Besides its ALREADY been a month since Japanese/HK release...time flys, just don't think about it, i know it sounds hard but its helping me get thought TRUST ME I've been following this game for a year and a half now and were almost there.

The release date is in March. I've called Best Buy, Electronics Boutique, EB Games, Gamestop.

They've all gotten word that the release date is March 14, or March 15. 3-15 is my birthday, so I have B-Day gift now.
My local store(Game Crazy) tells me 3/15 also, supposedly the "hard" date.

Watch the American version not have anything new.
I say PD is doing this to us Americans in revenge for WWII.

J/p.

This is not cool! Actually, the Americans tend to think this way, way more than the Japanese people. Most(like, 99.9%) Japanese people realizes the mistake Japan made in WWII, and are trying to put it in the past.

at least the PAL people can look forward to an official date

Still 37 days boys :) (and who knows what for additions will be reveiled more during those days :))

Tables have turned since the mid december US (2005 PAL) release date, Im sorry but its usually the other way round. The US is usually number 1 then europe then one day it rolls down to Aus/NZ.

copyed this from gamefaqs.com :dunce:. look for this on ign or gamespot soon

I would love to believe this but,

Sony hasn’t updated there web site with a new release date or press release.

Gaming horizon was right about the SCEE release date though. Maybe I should start looking for a vacation request sheet.

I think I'd rather wait till after the PAL release so that I'd be more confident that we're getting good updates like them. But at least this way if it's true I'll get it b4 my birthday so I can get the DFP :)

I wonder if there will soon be a list of new additions for the US version.

i just got my new EGM MARCH 2005 issue, and although there is no new news on GT4, in the back they always show a preview of next months issue, and it shows that they will review GT4 in the APRIL 2005 issue.

so in order to have a review in the APRIL issue GT4 would have to be released here between now and the first week in MARCH when the APRIL issue will be sent out 👍

I'm defying all logic today. For some reason I believe this Feb 22nd release date. Haven't believed one date yet, but I just think this one's true.

I'm already calling myself a stupid fanboy noob because of it.

ah yes, the PAL release date of March 9 was official a few days ago. very exciting for sure, but now we're are now moving on to the US release date. and that means me! :)

supposedly this morning (feb 2) the official US date was released, which is Feb 22. I wonder if we will get any of the improvements that the PAL release is getting!?

My apologies, I had taken the liberty of checking a couple of pages back where the discussion seemed to remain somewhat vague and missed any direct reference to the 9th March PAL date.

I've notice the 22nd Feb date, although not as yet from an 'official 'source.

I sincerely hope that our US/related cousins get the same updated version that appears to be heading for PAL countries, it would be a great shame for you to get a translated Japanses version...

Best of luck with a) release date and b) version content...

thanks! i sure hope we get an updated version too, and soon also. PAL always gets everything! along with a wait too though. ESPECIALLY for the metal gear solid series. you guys got tons of awesome extras which makes me the most upset!!! hehe :)
