Had some great races tonight.

We should do road cars a lot more often but ideally one make races. The BoP was all over the place trying to balance different cars.

Make a short list (10-15 or so) with favourite cars so we all come equipped with the same machinery?

... You've got a good time in the Mini at Suzuka too - p30 for you, p102 for me. ...

Should I try the Mini, too ? Not sure here, guys - I presume there's a big advantage on your side since I know the Mini's been the standard learner car in the UK and that you're experienced with the real one :irked: ...

The Ford Test Car on Bathurst looks interesting as well. Where's my spare time :odd: ?

My wife just bought a new game and now i cant play as i want......:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Don't worry. I'm single but I hardly ever can play as I want !!!
What is it ? FORTNITE ? :lol::lol::lol:

Definitely give it a try, it's great fun! Very tricky to get right as it's all about smooth inputs, and maintaining momentum.

As with the Nissan at Alsace, the races sort people out very quickly - I've usually been starting towards the tail end of the grid, but have finished all but one race on the podium. Just a question of avoiding all the bad drivers, as it's easy to pick up penalties.

The Ford GT seems to be the hotlap car for Bathurst, but doesn't seem to do too well in the races. I've been running the RCZ with some success - it's very easy on it's tyres, with very neutral handling. Managed one second place, but the rest of the races (given that I'm usually starting about 18th) have been about getting into the top 10....

Here's a race for next time, Honda S660 on CS at Horse Thief Mile. I was going to do that last night, but as usual, my plan went tits up. It's a great little track with the right cars.

We should do a lot more of the slow cars though. Maybe run them on a bunch of reverse tracks so that nobody knows where they're going or run pseudo ovals like Blue Moon infield or Kyoto.

BoP off but no tuning.

Unfathomable that BoP changes values in one make races so I couldn't agree more.

Big Willow might be a bit stale in slower cars but Streets would work. That track is really growing on me now.👍

Going on the game in about an hour from now to thrash some more road cars around. Getting the urge to run some reverse tracks for variety too. There's a tasty Maggiore layout that's only around a mile long so depending on track length, I could adjust car level based on how long the track is. Going from N100 up to a maximum of N400.

(Strong hint: Hopefully an SFR Racing Concept free zone as that car is the new gixxer in my opinion. Very quick but very uninspiring to drive. It's just too good.)

We've tried it before. If I remember right, it adds another ~70% power and trashes the balance by adding a shed load of weight. Almost undriveable. The stock tune works so much better with stock weight and power.

Here's a few suggestions for N class cars that I think are fun

GT40 '66 - My favourite car in the game. Absolute blast to drive at N300 or N400
Supra
Both Alpines
M3 '89
M4 '14
86 GT
RX-7
Citroen DS3 - N200 FF and fun. Who'd have thought it?

And how about some muscle cars on ovals? Mustang, Challenger, Nova!

Good choices. I've made a note of them.👍

Another good FF is the '16 Clio. I normally avoid FF's but that one was fun.

We can check out the muscle cars but we'd have to test with BoP on and off. There's quite a big difference between some of them.

I'm having PSN probs

It looks like they were trying to fix the new message bug that's been trashing system files and making the console unusable. From what I've read today, it's fixed.

Anyone interested in a more cerebral type of race in the lobby? ie Races with tyre and fuel wear with one pit stop. Qualifying 10 minutes + 1 lap to decide the grid.

Hey guys, what a great night of racing Monday .John did a excellent job running the show .Also as a bonus we had some QM EXILES dropping in along with a GEEZER.Sorry I'm posting late ,had a rough day yesterday at the office .Looking forward to learning to race the (little cars)N cars tonight.

I'll be on around 7.30GMT (getting earlier:lol:) to put some laps in. No idea where it's come from but I'm loving driving lately. Can't get enough of it.

Found a combo that was very entertaining yesterday. Group B rally cars on sport's hard tyres. I tried being disciplined and limit the sliding to put a lap time in but I was weak. I managed to drift every corner of Gardens...including the 4 apex corner though.:D

You cant have a good long race with pitsstop while sliding in every corner

The rally cars were just for something different. I wouldn't dream of using them in a tyre wear race.

Forgot the other idea. A one hour multi class race with Gr1, 3 and 4. BoP set manually and damage set to heavy. It needs a lot of people to make it work though. At least 4 in each class.

Know what I'm saying?

Not sure... Are you saying you want us to do career mode races?:lol:

I only used them last night as they're great to over drive. Better on CS but the other drivers couldn't handle those tyres. They couldn't handle the SH either come to think of it...

Is that a subtle reference to my family's comedic value?:D

I'd get a noise cancelling mic but I've noticed what's said in the background puts you off your driving. I'll get one eventually.:sly:

...aaand, going to have a bit of a break from road car lobbies. They're my favourite cars to drive by far but they're wearing me out.

Back to quick matches in Gr3 and 4 for a while. Way easier to drive near their limit.
