pparently they get you more fans, you can hire and fire them but I haven't fired anyone.
I know that much, but I haven't really notice them actually do anything, really. Is it like a bonus while racing with them, or is it something instant?

I'm not sure but I think it might add to your bonuses when you log in. I'll have to look when I log in tonight.

I think it's like this (just a gut feeling) since it lists my drivatar having been in some insane number of races everyday compared to what would show up in FM6. I think my daily login for FM6 would say something like "your drivatar has appeared in 16 races and here's your 4235 credits", while now in FH3 I get a message along the lines of "your drivatar has appeared in 16382 races and here's your 54873 credits".

Obviously I don't know the exact numbers, but it's quite different from what I'm used to - so I think the "hired" drivers have something to do with it.

I think so too, that is what I'm going to check when I log in tonight. Also when you choose to hire a new driver, look at the stats, one of them is how much money they will make for you over the lifetime of their racing career.

Can I buy DLC cars from the auction house if I don't own any season passes etc?

Pretty sure you have to own the DLC before you can buy them, at least with past Forza games that included the Auction House, you were not allowed to buy DLC cars before you purchased the DLC
I figured that would be the case but wasn't sure if you could buy them but couldn't edit the livery, upgrade it etc

Thanks!

I spent an hour doing a trail race rivals until I was #1 on the Global LB only to check this morning and see someone beat my time by almost 6 seconds. I don't think I am even gonna attempt to beat it.

Convoys are fun. I'm going to take the Maserati A6GCS out for a spin and try to get a convoy going with as many other A6s as possible. Then I'm going to take a picture of about two dozen A6s all in convoy with the caption "Only four made."

You can only have up to 4 drivatars in a convoy sadly. If you honk at a 5th drivatar, the 1st one you honked at will take off.

Oh wow, I honked at about 7 cars at high speed and assumed they were all still following me  I still love the feature though, makes lengthier journeys far more enjoyable. 👍

Agreed. Plus you can get them to play "bloodhound" by seeking out XP boards and Barn Find barns etc. with one of the available perks. A very handy feature indeed. 👍

My only issue with the game, there's so many cars, and I keep driving the same one all the time.

I'm having so much fun in the STI 22b with the S1 body kit upgrade, I don't want to drive anything else. It's such a blast. I did a lot of "Lancer Hunting", to unlock all the street races.

I've always had this issue with horizon, I seem to always fall In love with one or two cars, and miss out on a lot of others. In horizon 2, my car was the Alfa 33 Stradale.

Such a shame so many people look at the car with disgust because of its leaderboard reputation. It really is a treat to drive stock.

I've got that other problem where there's just so much car choice and terrain variety that I don't know what to drive. Blasting around in an Aventador or any other hypercar can be fun at times, but everything goes by way too quickly and you can't appreciate your surroundings.

Wait....the 22b has a body kit upgrade? How did I not notice that when I was customizing mine? I just threw on some aero-parts lol tuned it up 1 class and then called it good. I've been using it, my ST185 and my Viper GT mostly, though I did by a Supra last and did a couple of street races with it.

Anyway back to topic at hand, I too suffer from this same problem, the 22b is normally one of the very first cars I buy and I have to force myself into other cars. I want to buy a muscle car next, either the Charger or the 69 Camaro, but I haven been holding off until I have a little more money for one, right now I have about 500K.

I'm not sure if there's anyone in here that's following the thread but hasn't bought FH3 yet, but this might be pretty cool for you.

For some odd reason, Target are selling FH3 (Standard, Digital) for $20. r/Forza on Reddit say that this works no matter what region you are from, so if you haven't bought it yet, I guess it'd be pretty good to pick it up now. Especially since I'm sure this is a mistake and it'll be changed to a more suitable price soon. (You'll need to switch your region to the US to make it work.)

EDIT: The listing seems to have gone back up to $59.99.

I tried de-tuning my HE BRZ and it made a world of difference (went down to 837 once all the power parts were removed).

Will certainly be doing this with any other HE cars I manage to get.:D

Anyone can get an average-semi good score in a drift zone. What takes real talent is getting a score so pitifully low that it defies belief. So after a good 5 minutes or so, I have achieved what I think to be my collossus, I have reached the height of my Empire to achieve a beautiful... 27 points.

Well, that's what I thought. Turns out I had been completely embarrassed by another.

Yes! I finally got all 150 bonus board and all 488 roads. The last road I needed was here:
It was gray on gray. I must have looked over it a hundred times before I finally saw it.
