Gonna copypaste my post from the Forza forums just to temper peoples' expectations...

This applies to PC only, or at least the performance stuff.

"Patch is a pretty massive downgrade, and I'm not even sure what it's even for at this point besides adding the DLC.

The performance is *worse*. My framerate and stuttering in Surfer's Paradise are worse than they were before. Other areas are okay, but they were before. No positive improvements.

Also, the only vehicle asset bugs I've noticed previously (the patch claims "vehicle assets fixes") are either completely unchanged or actually worse. The inline 6 engines are still all shared from the BMW M4 (besides the new M2) so the RB26s and 2JZs sound identical. The Alfa Romeo 75 had a bug where the driver's hands constantly shook as if he was driving on a dirt road - now they shake twice as fast.

Photo mode is still blurry and looks nowhere near as good as Xbox One unless you're downsampling from 4K (and let's face it, most people probably don't have the horsepower for that with this game).

Absolutely nothing I've noticed previously has been fixed. Not happy with this patch but I suppose I'll still enjoy the DLC, capped at 30fps that is."

Lovely. 10/10 Patch.

Downloading the update as we speak! Had to restart my PC then saw the update. Soon, Crown Vic, SOON.

I did a 2 lap race in a stock Lancia Delta HF since I didn't know anything about the event.

37 bloody minutes

I didn't mention that when I raced with my buddies, they had the advantage of knowing the circuit. Their laps were mid-9's. My first one, in the HE GT-R, was 12 minutes.

@MXH did you restart while updating? Mine has gone so slow but now started again and don't want to mess this up I only have it on digital, tempted to just leave it running at 1mbs :boggled:
No, not while updating. The update itself refused to show up at all so I restarted my console.

:)

Found this on Reddit. :(

performance and stuttering worse after the patch.

i7 4790k/GTX 1080/32GB RAM here.

EDIT: Getting about 40fps in Surfers Paradise, and just below 50fps in Yarra Valley. GPU usage at about 50%.

Right. I'm having some sort of problem where the update isn't qeueing up. And when I'm in game, I can't go to the marketplace to download the DLC. I'm definitely online because I can join free roam. But my game is acting as if there is no update or DLC available. I'm going to be rather miffed if I can't download it, seeing as how I payed for the season pass.

Decided to recruit a fourth member to my crew earlier today. As of now, the members of my crew are: @nick98, @SlipZtrEm, @ToyGTone, and a college friend of mine. I'd like to find another GTP member to replace the fourth member, but I'm too sidetracked by my RS2 Avant :D

I did my laps around 10 mins and 40 seconds in a 4wd one:1.

My first attempt on the Goliath was with a mostly-stock F355 and after 2 or 3 crashes, finished at the 11th minute and such seconds. 4 wheelspins and 30k credits I think. Skills were nicely banked though. 10 of 'em skill points.

I feel in love with the Vulcan at Goodwood last year and having just taken it for a quick blast I love it even more. Had some great skill chains going.

I so far have tried the Pagani and Crown Vic. I like both in their own way, the Crown Victoria is fun to just screw around with whether just sliding around or stalking other racers. hehe

The Huayra BC is really quick while being quite manageable, it feels like it would be a great car for higher class racing. Though I've only used it so far to have a couple of easy street race wins, also; I think I saw my first unicorn.

I drove that car extensively in FH2, it was one of my main cruising cars, both on and off road. I know what you mean by sidetracked.

Last night I did some off-road buggy races in the outback, man those are fun, they really add a whole new element to the game.

Probably snuck it in for the event next week. If you go to the achievement section of the game hub you can actually see what prizes you get, and on what date the contests will be.

I love the goliath race. No idea how many laps I've done now. Lets just say I've got all the horizon edition cars that are available atm. Did a 20 lap race yesterday in my HE Jag, went from 12.5m to 19m after all the wheel spins were done, went from level 282 to 371. I usually do 2 laps at a time drifting in the HE BRZ. Great way to get skill points and xp.

About half way done downloading the update. I wish the update released earlier. My download speeds are typically much faster in the mornings. Currently averaging 0.5Mbps.
