You're right, how many time until the next PS Store update (North America)?

Does the official blog post the content of the update before or after the update? if before, how many time before?

I have to go to school and I don't want to get home when the forums exploded already :indiff:

Like in 5:30 hours

Why you can't make "money" and "honoring his life and career" at the same time?. I don't get the point , so because there are making money on the death of senna it is disrecpectul ??? What do you think the Senna family do ???? (with all the respect I have for Senna ) .
Don't really think the Senna family takes much advantage of the hype surrounding Ayrton. What they do goes through the Senna foundation to help underprivileged Brazilian kids get an education. Bit more noble than a Japanese videogame maker making publicity for DLC they finally release...

Come on guys, seriously, keep it to their respective threads, I know you're doing it intentionally, but still....

There was a line there which was ignored.

Here is another line which shall not be ignored.

The US blog posts are always at 2:00 PM, I just have no idea what time zone that is. So that gives us somewhere between 20 minutes and 3:20 hours from now.

EDIT: Judging from the time on the latest comments, I would say 3:20 hours.

But that's just my point.

When a normal company feels on track to releasing something, it's generally a pretty good sign.

When Polyphony feels on track to releasing something, it means absolutely nothing. We've had hard release dates, and they've flubbed them with no explanation.

Posting a video allows you to draw no conclusions about the release or otherwise of Senna DLC. It's about as informative as when Kaz replies to questions with "Yes, that's technically possible". Well, thanks Kaz, but nobody is any the wiser for that statement.

If you want to believe that just because whoever runs that website chose to repost a video from the Senna Foundation, that somehow means that the Senna DLC is on track for release at some still relatively unknown time, then more power to you. Just don't pretend that it's based on logic, because it's not.

Logic would dictate that if they're going to release something on the first, they'd have teased it by now. It's two days until the anniversary of Senna's death. It takes time for advertising to percolate out to the people it needs to, one does not simply advertise the day before and then suddenly release. Or at least one does advertise before release.

But then again, it's still Polyphony we're talking about so logic really doesn't mean anything either. Which brings us back to...the video means nothing and we have no idea what's going to happen.

It is though. I explained the logic behind it already, it just not your logic.

You seem to think that PD is somehow different than any other similarly sized developer and they aren't. The main differences with PD are, A) the size of there project relative to the size of there team, B) how little they communicate with the public. C) How much creative direction is decided by one person. That's it really.

It's certainly not a new thing in gaming. Things get delayed, things get cancled, plans change. It happens with lots of developer with the only real difference being that PD just doesn't announce anything. It doesn't mean they just go into work every morning and go "ok guys...what should we do today?" Or "You know what...we were working on this but...idk, I'm just not feeling it anymore." and to think that Sony just decided to post that video (because it was Sony, not PD) just for the hell of it is pretty silly.

That video was posted to remind people of the connection between the Senna foundation and PD. The Gran Turismo website it's a private twitter account. Does it mean that the content is coming in a timely manner? No. But it does mean that on March 25th, Sony was confident enough in the plans that were laid out to reaffirm a relationship they've been touting for months.

I wonder if the publishing machine starts up for GT7 again, how many people are still going to believe anything PD promises about it?

Depends what they promise...I will probably believe them if they say it took months of hard work and at the expense of other content planned for release, are pleased to announce that in GT7 they have accurately (to the centimetre) modelled the size, shape and colour of the sand dunes at Willow Springs and the trees at Spa.

On topic:

About the page that mentioned GT6 Senna DLC, with the fan made logo, I've just found this other one and it does not mention anything about Senna... :(

This is my guess:
Senna content get its release date set anytime on early May, it gets released in the next PS Store update, along with the track that has only been shown in February and other unannounced content

To be fair that post doesn't say anything about DLC for any game as far as I can tell. But you do have a point.

Oh, and your first line is well intended. But you forget where you are.

Probably on Monday.
When the Senna DLC doesn't appear on Monday
