Of course T10 still had to license the cars from McLaren but that doesn't mean the tie-in with Rush wasn't a way to get around the exclusivity contract. He doesn't specifically talk about that in the quote.

But he mentions the car isn't under an exclusive deal elsewhere. The Simraceway guys are cowboys, Senna's '88 racing suit will find its rightful home soon

I'm pretty sure he said that in the context of the previous paragraph, where he spoke about how current F1 cars are under exclusive licenses as a whole (Codemasters). He says they got that through a deal with Microsoft, then goes on to say the older cars were different, they came direct from the manufacturer.

“We have very good relationships with manufacturers,” he explained. “Some of the licenses are more problematic than others, but a lot of that comes down to scale. So we have the modern Grand Prix car from lotus, but we don’t have the full field of Formula 1 cars. So we’re able to get that car granted to us through a deal with Lotus, where Microsoft actually has a partnership with them. We’re not looking to do the whole field, it’s about the experience of that one car.

“Going back in time to the cars you’ll see in the Rush movie, where we got the Ferrari and McLaren F1 cars which featured in that film, that’s a different license and much easier for us to just go to the manufacturer and get. It’s not wrapped up in the current exclusives.”

Personally as I've said before I'm pretty sure PD included the McLaren suit from day 1 because they knew they wouldn't be able to add the car. Otherwise why not save it, like they've obviously done with the Lotus suit?

All race mod cars has been sold separately as touring/rally/racing cars on dealership, guys. So we are more hoping on more of those cars :)
Short term, yes. I'd be very happy to see all cars with Base Models we could paint. But long term, I still want those Race Mods and the Livery Editor so we can make our own race cars. And an Event Maker and Course Maker to go along with them so we can fashion our own fantasy or real world leagues. I.E., an option in Race Mod to make a car fit into a racing league specification, within reason of course. No Beetle DTM cars, for example, but a league using those cars within a certain performance regime? Sign me up. :D:tup:

Where was it said that the Lotus suit is certainly to be included?

So, the awesome unlockable slideshows are made of photos that you can find on the internet.

Only PD to think this is a trully premium content to praise Senna's legacy.

Only PD.

Whilst that wouldn't surprise me, those two pictures are not the same, TurismoBad just chose a shot that matched the angle.

I bet hope there will be something more to the slideshows than just uncommented pictures.

This is definitely a Toleman TG184-HART Turbo

IBy looking closely to both images, there's two things that I noticed:

1) On the little image, the colors remind me of the colors in-game (a game photo, not a real photo).
2) Senna's head position.

So IT COULD BE (don't get your hopes high) that the 1984 Toleman will be in the game as DLC. I can't say for sure, I'm just guessing here.

You got all that from a 50x50pixel image that has both a dark overlay and a padlock image?
His head is pretty clearly tilted to the right in the thumbnail, and left on the other picture. The GT graphics thing is pushing it a bit too far, though.

I have a feeling we are about to set ourselves up for another disappointment with that Toleman talk.
The only way one can get disappointed is if one counts on something being delivered and who counts on PD for anything anymore? It's fun to speculate, but most people are pretty wary now about relying on PD to deliver anything, even stuff they say they are going to deliver, even when they give dates. It's like that unreliable brother-in-law who never shows up when he says he's going to, and if he does, he's often more of a hinderance than a help. Once in a while he comes through and he never lets you forget about it.

Perfect analogy.

Yeah I am not expecting anything since a very looooooong time now. But I know how these things can turn into a hype quickly.

Speculation is fun. Expectations are not. This is setting yourselves up to be hit at by the people you complain ruin the threads. Theres always two sides. One side is overly joyed to the point they reach for things and claim such will come. The other side shoots down everything PD because he lies to them with not producing content... half of which is mentioned by people in Sony who act like theyre a part of PD. The other half being put on hold if not forgotten. Choose a middle ground. Dont exclaim your eagerness with false hopes. Take it a day at a time so youre saved from ridicule. The detractors will be there because they have reason. Even if we dont know why dlc hasnt been added yet (hackers? Staff? PS4?)

As much as I don't want to give PD any credit for doing something cool, Michelin could be right.

Unless someone finds another shot, it looks like it could be from GT6, Just by how shiny the helmet is.

I highly doubt it, but PD really needs to pull of something goat.

Thumbnail has what looks like a guardrail at the helmet level. Maybe someone can find that image.

Also, the helmet has red above the visor in the GT webpage thumbnail. This isnt featured on that helmet design of that photo.
