Those two bit cowboys will say anything to protect their investment, I'll believe Greenawalt over them.

“We have very good relationships with manufacturers,” he explained. “Some of the licenses are more problematic than others, but a lot of that comes down to scale. So we have the modern Grand Prix car from lotus, but we don’t have the full field of Formula 1 cars. So we’re able to get that car granted to us through a deal with Lotus, where Microsoft actually has a partnership with them. We’re not looking to do the whole field, it’s about the experience of that one car.
“Going back in time to the cars you’ll see in the Rush movie, where we got the Ferrari and McLaren F1 cars which featured in that film, that’s a different license and much easier for us to just go to the manufacturer and get. It’s not wrapped up in the current exclusives.”
Short term, yes. I'd be very happy to see all cars with Base Models we could paint. But long term, I still want those Race Mods and the Livery Editor so we can make our own race cars. And an Event Maker and Course Maker to go along with them so we can fashion our own fantasy or real world leagues. I.E., an option in Race Mod to make a car fit into a racing league specification, within reason of course. No Beetle DTM cars, for example, but a league using those cars within a certain performance regime? Sign me up.All race mod cars has been sold separately as touring/rally/racing cars on dealership, guys. So we are more hoping on more of those cars![]()
To make us want more?Otherwise why not save it, like they've obviously done with the Lotus suit?
Where was it said that the Lotus suit is certainly to be included?I'm pretty sure he said that in the context of the previous paragraph, where he spoke about how current F1 cars are under exclusive licenses as a whole (Codemasters). He says they got that through a deal with Microsoft, then goes on to say the older cars were different, they came direct from the manufacturer.
Personally as I've said before I'm pretty sure PD included the McLaren suit from day 1 because they knew they wouldn't be able to add the car. Otherwise why not save it, like they've obviously done with the Lotus suit?

Yes, but that's just from the slideshow. Doesn't mean it will be in the game. I hope it will, though.

I'd be amused if PD put his #007 kart in the game.Indeed, just like the first image doesn't mean we can race cars as a child Senna.
So, the awesome unlockable slideshows are made of photos that you can find on the internet.
Only PD to think this is a trully premium content to praise Senna's legacy.
Only PD.

His head is pretty clearly tilted to the right in the thumbnail, and left on the other picture. The GT graphics thing is pushing it a bit too far, though. You got all that from a 50x50pixel image that has both a dark overlay and a padlock image?
The only way one can get disappointed is if one counts on something being delivered and who counts on PD for anything anymore? It's fun to speculate, but most people are pretty wary now about relying on PD to deliver anything, even stuff they say they are going to deliver, even when they give dates. It's like that unreliable brother-in-law who never shows up when he says he's going to, and if he does, he's often more of a hinderance than a help. Once in a while he comes through and he never lets you forget about it.I have a feeling we are about to set ourselves up for another disappointment with that Toleman talk.

This pic is very close, but there's something written on the helmet which is missing on the thumbnail.![]()
Closest one to the thumbnail I could find...
