In the thumbnail you can see red on the helmet - that's Marlboro logo. Hence this is 99% real life photo and not in-game.

And throughout the season Ayrton had a couple of different logos on the side of his helmet, Pool Jeans at a few races (his personal sponsor from his F3 season the year before) and Segafredo Zanetti in others as in the photo above. At some others he had nothing on the side.

The Toleman livery was also changed a couple of times through the 84 season as well. The blue, white and red combination shown in the thumbnail is a later season one.

The Senna race gear in game has the red on the helmet as well, so thats not a preclusion its real life (although Im not doubting it)...

The right side of the helmet from GT6 looks different from the thumbnail. :guilty:

I concur. The helmet in the game is different and has more sponsors on it.

Even though the car kinda looks like the game itself, only that level of pixelation is found in GT Standards...
His McLaren helmet had way more sponsors than the Toleman. And the photo could be of crappy resolution.

Not necessarily, tobacco logos were already under scrutiny in some European countries by 1984...

This is from the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch...

Stop rebuffing everything I say!!

I must say though, I have not yet found a photo that has all the elements we can see in that thumbnail:

- Magirus logo on the cockpit side
- No logo on side of Ayrton's helmet
- Censored Marlboro logo on front of helmet

Yeah saw the same one in my search, that's from the Canadian Grand Prix. It may be that there has been some shopping of tobacco logos in order to put the photo in an 'official' slideshow, as I don't see any reason for putting a potential in-game shot in a historical slideshow. There's enough photos of Senna in the '84 Toleman to use.

My other thinking for being pretty certain the thumbnail is a real photo... the most significant result Ayrton scored that season was of course the 2nd place at Monaco, and his car was in the alternative white and blue livery for that race. If there was to be a Toleman in the game it would be that one, despite Ayrton scoring 2 other podiums later in the 84 season, and 7th in Canada using this livery.

Soooooo and how Long we still have to wait now for the Content? It would be nice to tell a date, will it be next week or the one after next??? It's already the 12th may on Monday and half of may almost past.

Pretty sure they already have a release date but why don't tell it?

Best guess is before the 19th, they will need to add the other cars for the last 2 rounds of GT Academy before then. I base that on after the last update, hackers found the Leaf and 370Z in the game, but I have never heard anything about the other 2 cars.

Next Sunday (not tomorrow) will be the deadline, I guess.

The news article in the news section in-game say 'at the end of may'... So for some usefull content (car(s)/track(s)) we'll have to wait a few more weeks I guess... The 12th and 19th will probably just be as they said on the tribute website, "slideshows" useless crap you'll watch once, then never again.

Very simple...12 May Slideshow part 1, 19 May Slideshow part 2 and in the last week of May will come the DLC. That´s PD!

We'll probably get it next Thursday (15th of May)

I'm going to keep quoting myself until people learn to read.

From the Senna Tribute webpage:

A special "Ayrton Senna Tribute" section has been opened on 1 May 2014 in gran-turismo.com, 20 years after the passing of Senna. Here you can follow the life of Senna through trailers and a 2-parts slideshows, leading up to the release of even more content in the second half of May. We sincerely hope you will be joining Gran Turismo 6 in following the footsteps of one of the greatest racing drivers in history, who still lives strong in the hearts of many today.

The slideshows lead up to the new content, so they have to be before the new content. We won't see any new content until after the second slideshow on the 19th, and I wouldn't expect them to release the new content until the next week, on the 26th.

What does it mean exactly?

(In PD's Language)

Yes, well, nobody knows.

All we can do is take it at face value on the recognised meaning of the English words. Which mean that it's not coming until at least the 19th, probably later, and smart money is on the 26th.

Still, there's reasonable evidence that even if PD said "It will be released on the 26th of May", the correct interpretation should be "It won't be released before the 26th of May, and it may be released on that date, or any date thereafter or never". So take it for what you will.

I'm just teaching people how to read the English parts. I can't do anything about the Polyphony-being-unreliable parts. ;)

This is becoming a burlesque... PD can't even release a simple DLC car on a specific date (Senna's death). It is May 11th and we don't know anything yet... when what or IF...
Way to go PD!!! A single effin car...
They won't say a specific date yet because if they miss it by a single day people will scream: "PD can't get their priorities straight! They're always late!" You should atleast wait to see what they will be giving us because none of us know. It might be more than the 97T.

They could have released the car first and some more content later... At least. As I said it is just one car for god's sake, and if there is more stuff later then good, but at this pace we will get something maybe for the 40th anniversary
