I have the third clue on my previous post

EDIT: A different version of both Clue 1 and 2 have been added to the list and Johniwanna said they had no correct answers for clue 1 or 2

Clue #3 for car number 3.

This clue is for clue thread veterans. This car was a previous candidate for DLC, but was bumped to this pack. I gave clues about it and you guessed it quickly. Obviously the clue was too easy.

John.

Very easy indeed = Citroen DS4

About the first two:
2nd Version of Clue 1. Inspired by a weekend of watching sports car racing at Watkins Glen.
Harley Earl designed this car after the 1951 Watkins Glen race where he was showcasing the Buick LeSabre concept. It was the 1953 Chevrolet Corvette.
2nd Version of clue 2. If you didn't know who made this car you would think it was Italian.

If I didn't know that this car was made in Britain, I'd think that it was a Fiat 500.
It seems to go down every once in a while. I have no idea why. It suddenly goes back up after a while, but there's never any explanation given. :indifferent:
Servers have rebelled because they were not paid for in time, IMO.

EDIT:
johniwanna's fourth clue
It's record still stands!
So, basically, some automotive record that was unbeaten for a long period of time and is still unbeaten. Hmmm...
Realistically speaking, it could be a Corolla, the world's bestselling car since 1997. Just a Corolla, no specific generation here. But, getting into a more wishlist-like territory, we get a car, a sports prototype, that had set a speed record on the Mulsanne straight of 405km/h. The record was set in 1988, just two years before the chicanes were placed on the straight, making this record not just unbeaten for 24 years straight, but also nigh-unbeatable in the far future. We're talking about the WM-Peugeot P88.

Sorry i haven't been on for a while i'll post the next clue right now

EDIT: Clue 4 and Clue 5 is on the post with the other clues. My guess for clue 4 is a MARK IV or MARK II GT40.

My guess for clue 4 is a MARK IV or MARK II GT40.
GT40 Mk.II was in the game since release and I don't remember the Mk.IV setting any long-standing records.

Speaking of the fifth clue:
johniwanna
Someday you'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me.
This is a lyric from the song "The Rainbow Connection" (duh) from The Muppets Movie. It was released in 1979, and, since I, frankly, cannot get anything else out of this...well, take your pick.

Sorry i meant the Mark 1 and it won the 24 hours of le mans 4 times in a row

The Mk.I only had 2 wins out of 4 of the entire GT40 dynasty (Mk.II won the 1966, Mk.IV won the 1967, Mk.I won 1968 and 1969).

OK fine I admit the reason i like it is due to the Gulf paint job

Anyway, getting back to the Muppet Movie clue (the fifth one) for a moment. I've thought to myself: "Why not look up what cars were in the movie itself?" So I've done an IMCDb lookup, and here's what I got.
i011081.jpg

The 1951 Studebaker Commander. It's even on the cover.
It could also be the villain's car, the 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood 75.

How do you know if we dont even know yet

EDIT: Alot of people at the official forums say the car for clue 2 is either the Model A or T , First Generation Fiat 500 , or The original MINI they also say car 1 is also a hybrid or Model A or T

Not too many cars newer the 1950 had 8 hp and went 55mph....For did..in the 20s

clue 1 - jaguar cx-75 or citroen ds5
clue 2 - original fiat 500 / original mini
clue 3 - auto union type c
clue 4 - arial atom v8 / peel p50
clue 5 - vw camper van

Because the suspension is inboard and the tyres are covered by cycle wings, plus the fact there's a front wing, then they might just be able to do it? The open rear end has been seen on the old Ferrari prototype, too.

Hate to break this to you but clue 3 is the citroen ds4 and they dont believe the 500 or MINI is clue 2

Anyone notice we only have 5 clues? All the car packs had 10 cars. So, am I just missing something or are we getting a half-sized pack?

2nd Version of Clue 1. Inspired by a weekend of watching sports car racing at Watkins Glen

Good bet on the 53 Vette, but there's prettier and better cars to put in DLC than that one, specially given the 1st gen Vette already in the game. In a way I'd hope it was something else. Another in the small sports car category maybe..?

2nd Version of Clue 2. If you didn't know who made this car you would think it was Italian

Please DON'T be the Chrysler TC "styled by Maserati"...

3rd Clue. Clue number 3 is for car number 3

If it's for clue vets, I'm "clueless".
Besides, we already have a Jeep.
And we don't need to learn how to park it, everyone has valet...

4th Clue. It's record still stands

Salt Flats, NASCAR, NHRA...? Anything stand out as long win streak car..?

A Petty Plymouth, the still being raced Hemi Super Stocks of the 64/65 vintage variety or maybe the 87 T Bird Mssr Elliot took to the speed record in '87..? Be nice to have some older NASCAR type steel wheels to go with some of these vintage cars.

The WM-Peugeot P88 would be a good candidate given the case made, but that's not a realistic "unbeaten record" in my book. If the chicanes were still gone, it would have fallen a while back.

Not being a follower of these types of cars, I would also look to see if it has a couple contemporaries of similar vintage to race with in the game already.

I know there's quite few older Le Mans cars in now, but are they all related vintages or are they scattered across the board...?

I hate seeing cars from all over the place, makes any kind of realistic historical recreation of past glory rather difficult. I'd much rather see contemporaries released that would allow for some accurately recreated racing glory days.

5th Clue. Someday you'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me...

First thing I thought of was the Muppet movie and that old tank they were driving around in. The 1951 Studebaker Commander would dovetail nicely with the older cars we've been seeing. It definitely fits the clue and recent game trends...

Though a hardtop 1959 Cadillac would also rock. They should just do them both to be honest. Can we find an arm to twist somewhere..?

I don't like the Eldo convertible at all, but would love a hardtop Caddie to go with that Lincoln.

Now if we can just get them to let us take the dang trim off them so we can make some really nice customs and replicas...
