go away rotary.

the corvette would win, its alot lighter than the r34, and its a full blown sports car, the skyline is more of a sports coupe.

The Audi RS4 (380bhp) is an estate (station wagon) and that would make things pretty uncomfortable for a Corvette. The RS6 which is about to replace it has 450bhp... 😈 I'm not sure these days body style dictates speed as much as it used to. :)

yeah! here come the Audis... :D
Mayorbill11- for post#666 you shoulda had Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast" as your av'...... 😈 ;)

Oh God, why did I have to mention Audi's? :shakehead You end up with comments about music for 6 year olds!!!

If you wanna get down to Modified Street cars I am stickin w/ the 2002 Lingenfelter 427 TT Zo6. It pulls 750+ hp and with an automatic can run 9.8 on the 1/4 mile with street tires. :D

the RS4 is built by Audi... it's not a tuner car, like the Lingenfelter...

I know but Chevy doesn't show specs of Ordered cars that are hopped up from the Factory. As one of my brothers friend bought a Zo6 from Chevy w/ a TT pushing over 500hp.

even though am not a great lover of ferrari the 550 is suppose to be able to cover ground faster than anything else (not including formula 1 cars or anything else like that)

i still think that the E46 M3 is the best all around car, that includes:

Handling
Comfort
acceleration
But not top speed :(

Corvettes are going to be faster than Skylines but are supposed to handle like poo. From my experience in GT3 however, I found the 'Vette to be a lot more predictable than the Skyline. After all the Vette doesn't shift from RWD to 4WD while you are cornering.

It is supposed to do that for grip...

These two have different driving syles tho'. The Vette is smoother, the GT-R is more Banzai. But taken by the scruff the GT-R will be quicker point-to-point in RL conditions. :D Shame they can't make it a bit lighter...

BTW - RIP R34. On the announcement of the last 1000 to be produced they all sold in one day!

Long live the R35! (when it appears).

R35 anyone...?

Me too. I just got done with the Deep Forest Time Trial (with an R34). Now that I'm driving the Z06 over it, I'm ripping off laps that are two seconds faster without much difficulty. I guess I'm a smoothie , 'cos I had a bear of a time getting the R34 around that track. For the record, it did involve a sloppy sort of BANZAI! technique. Not good for setting the car up properly, if you know what I mean.
