Umm i thought the beta was on the 18th on xbox one ? Is there a close beta before ? Because I didnt found any info about it.

I did participate in the previous one on the 29th january but I thought that closed at the end of the week-end ?

Oh yes I think you are correct. I think it is actually the Homefront beta. I will find out tonight. I am juggling far too many betas right now. This will be the 32nd beta I have attended. :dunce:
EDIT: Correction. My beta was for Homefront Revolution.

The Division Open Beta can be pre-loaded right now on the X1. The beta will be playable February Thursday the 18th. (23gb)

Played this all day yesterday and will admit it is fun. Or at least more entertaining than I had thought.

Its nice to explore and messing around in the DZ is an intense experience. I went in alone and spent majority of the time working with random chasing the same guy around who kept killing everyone.....so he became priority one.

I think I will pick this up.

I played the BETA too. Going rogue is almost inevitable after if you play more than 30 minutes in the dark zone. Pretty fun and I'm wondering how the rest of the map will be once they release the full version. PSN ID is OZZYGT if anybody's interested in forming a group.

Story line is fun too but those damn AI get harder and harder to kill the more you advance. :scared:

Had a go of this today and is so much fun! Currently level 7 and Dark Zone level 4, currently using an M4 and an M44 Sniper along wth a Colt 1911. Only bad moment I had was when I tried extracting stuff in the Dark Zone some 🤬 threw a grenade just as I was extracting, and blew up 4 or 5 of us, then stole everything. Lost an AK-47 and an RPK along with some clothing items (that I don't really care for). Dark Zone currency seems really hard to earn as well, took me over an hour just to earn about 80 of it, and the AI is really challenging there. Did have some fun working together with some other players to clear the map of looters.

Definitely going to pick this up, looks like it'll be amazing.

Played the beta today, I really like the atmosphere, and the combat,
except for that dumb flamethrower "boss"in the subway.

Pretty good so far, seems like a well balanced (and surprisingly intuitive) third person shooter.

Feel free to add me in case you want to group up, those AI do require teamwork at times.

Played it on PC for a bit yesterday. So far I'm not too impressed, both gameplay and graphically wise. Will give it a more in-depth look over the weekend.

Are you on Xbox? Because some of them are really hard

PS4, and yeah, they do require some teamwork to beat. Having said that, I'm kinda ... bored with it already, the game crashed two times while doing the subway raid mission, which is pretty long and a pain to get into again.

It is engaging, but ... repetitive. Also there is something odd about it, thus far all I seem to shoot at is black poor people, or poor people, there is no background for this and ... well I feel uncomfortable with it. Other games present a valid (or at least something) justification for why you shoot certain people, however this is just shoot black/poor people because they are poor and rioting, which pulls me off greatly when I start thinking about it.

I thought they were like, the people that did the attack or something, but looking back on it, yeah it is just poor people. But I do like the atmosphere of the game, as well as the customization. The cover system is ok, but needs a bit of work for when you leave cover. There should also be an adjustment to the difficulty if you are solo. 👍

I mean, is not that terrible, the game is engaging and it does get several things right (is a good MMO implementation for a 3rd person shooter), but is does get boring after a while because is bit repetitive, is either walking on the emptiness or entering into long gunfights that are entirely composed of shooting people in hoodies (or flamethrowers, that was a fun variation).

I've just tried it, I'm also not impressed. It's not that it's a bad game, it's that the genre just isn't my thing - Spec Ops: The Line was the last good third person cover shooter I played, and that's pretty much only because it had a good story. The gameplay was so bland.

Even though that guy playing is really annoying, that video accurately sums up my experience. I played it a bit further yesterday and I must say I absolutely loathe the controls when using the mouse/keyboard, it's like there's no accuracy to the movement at all. How's that for the PS4/XBOne players with a controller?

I'm probably not getting this at release date, but might get it at a later date after a few patches. It feels very similar to the launch of The Crew, that was also quite meh at launch, but turned out quite okay at the end.

I hope those patches provide some kind of structure for the DZ... Outfit, clan, guild, gang, give us something to keep it from being a 4 v. 4 free-for-all.
God forbid the possible hacking.

I cant make up my mind if I should get it right away or wait (Prime members save 20%). This game just seems like it'll die like BF: Hardline. Had fun during the beta, but playing with randoms was interesting...

It certainly has an interesting PvP concept. But it looks like it'll get pretty dull and repetitive. Ubisoft needs to keep everyone interested, since they're thinking of supporting this game for a few years on, and it's not gonna work if you're only fighting random thugs and lots of bullet sponging.

I agree. While I did play the beta about 70% solo, the times I squadded up with friends, it was a much better experience, making the venture into the DZ much easier on the nerves.

I will end up getting it just due to it feeling 'fresh' if that makes sense and the way I can jump on for a bit, by myself and search for stuff. Sure, eventually it will become what Destiny has but to me it's worth a go!

I decided to get it. :p Maybe we can squad up on XB at some point.

Didn't get to try the beta, but I plan on picking this up as well. Look forward to playing with you guys again.

I'm kind of intrigued by the premise of the game, but the last page or so of this thread has dampened my enthusiasm.

Same here. I enjoyed the couple hours I played of the beta. Really liked the art style. But reading that others can take your inventory after they kill you, is very discouraging. I might rent this first.

That would be beyond frustrating. :ouch:
