Yeah, because they are a massive brand and get very similar sales figures.

No other racing game will compete with GT, as no other one has the brand of GT nor sales figures that get anything like close to GT. Forza is closest and FM3 will probably have about a quarter of the sales of GT5.

I think there will be. However if they want to sell millions of copies, they have to make it accessible to joe schmoe who needs toned down "arcade" physics to have fun. PD got that right they just need to spend more time on the pro physics and everyone would be happy. It would be stupid of sony to release GT5 if pro physics were the only available driving physics in the game. We've seen reviews of the TT where people were hating it because of how hard it was to just "get in" and play.

hm, I went to their website and looked at their past games... Big Mutha Truckers 2 - Truck Me Harder!, Street Racing Syndicate, Ferrari Challenge: Trofeo Pirelli, The Fast and the Furious, MTV's Pimp My Ride, and Hot Wheels: Beat That! I think that even if they managed to combine all those games and, *sigh* allowed you to paint them, they would not stack up next to any of the GT games, together or apart. It's just an overblown news rumor.

I hope its TDU2. I loved the first one and it probably will go down as one of my favs, but even though it will be awesome I don't believe it will beat GT5. If you want lots of cars and more realistic experience get GT5, but if you want a huge environment get TDU2 or just get both like me!

Read the magazine scan again, it doesn't hint at a release date it just says there will be more info next month. I can see where the confusion has come from because the article using the magazine scan as it's source added in that it "would arrive next month" yet the magazine merely suggested that there would be more information next month.

More PS3 race sims is great news. Maybe it's the new Test Drive? I don't know. Whatever it is I'm happy to hear about it.

This may be the best answer as several magazines will be unveiling more of TDU2 next month.

If it is Enthusia 2 like i hope it will be, then Konami has an even worse understanding of timing than PD, remember when the first Enthusia was released a month or so before GT4 arrived and was essentially blown out of the market by it.
If it wasn't for GT5's delay this sequel ( if it is true, indeed very doubtful ) would probably have suffered the same fate and only because of this delay a proper sequel might actually become a sales hit by chance.

Nothing can beat GT at what GT does...

There may be other good driving games to go alongside GT, but none would do a GT that is better then PDs offerings..

There bet there won't be another TOCA unfortunately as the championship has gone right down the toilet lately.

The only manufacturer left in is Vauxhall now, all the others are private teams.

Its a real shame as it was easily the most action packed race series over here in the UK.

Actually looking at the article it says " Major New Licence " I wonder what that could be?? Is there a lone WRC game still on the way? Or do GT have the rights to it now?
