385PP/Racing Soft/1Lap Race at The Ring.
Finds out that my perfectly tuned Levin AE86 had 386PP so that was a easy choice..
Opponent's where an 206RC and a VW Karman.
Race starts!
As an initial D fan, i followed the 'key to win a race'.
So i stayed behind the others into the first corners for getting into the rhythm and analyzing the others.
The 206RC was the one i had to watch out for, as the VW was doing it's best but couldn't really keep up.
When going down the long downhill section(Right after Aremberg) i started to notice that the 206 where going for it!
As if he was going to win the race from there!
So i followed up, and the VW disappeared after the slower corners that came.
When the 206 driver and i reached Kallenhard(which is a uphill corner), i knew that i had to take it at high speed as i did not have allot of power in my Levin!
The 206 disappeared and i was not forever alone. But alone tho..
As my Levin's suspension was as stiff as a brick, i knew that i couldn't risk my lead by driving the Karussell the normal way so i had to drive on the outer side.
Things vent fine until i reached the last left turn before the long strait. That one corner that has those concrete plates on the inside line, but it doesent turn by many degrees, so i went for the inside-line.
herptiderp!
After a cupple of 360's, i managed to head in the right direction, but when looking in the rear view mirror, i saw the 206 came flying after me!
On the main strait, we was literally side by side, but due to the fantastic aerodynamic and power to weight ratio for the Levin, i managed to be the first of us to attack the last corners.
Since the Levin only weight about 835kilos, runs on RS tires, and had barley enough power to drag a kart, i had to keep the braking at a minimal!
Being as focused as a goal keeper, i flew through the last corners!
With the finnishline right in front of me, i was thinking the worst, so i just had to look for the Peugeot!
Turns out that my strategy worked! He slowed down to much so he couldn't follow me through the last turn.
Funny thing was that, after the race, i noticed that my heart rate was extreme, and i absolutely felt the adrenaline rush!
All because of the race being so close and that was one of the first real races with my new wheel!
G27 absolutely makes you feel part of the whole thing:tup:
