Hi which Car can you recommend for this Mission?
The Porsche 917 Legend is too fuel consumpting , the ft 1500 has no Lights.
I still have 1 Mio Credits for a vehicle purchase.

Thx

Any Gr.1 car that costs 1 million credits should do (done it twice in the Toyota TS050). Be sure to save up a bit more to buy a set of Heavy Wet tyres from the Tuning Shop, as that particular Mission has both dynamic time and weather enabled.

I took the RedBull X2019 which you receive from the license test completion. So no need to spend credits, just time to gold all tests...
Tangent, but I found that at top speed my x2019 wanders left or right... Is this a quirk of the car, or the early onset of stick-drift on my controller?

I had that too. Its really weird. That when I turn even slightly on the straights, the car just sends it into the wall like its a magnet. Also have an issue when the car just stops turning for no reason. The weird thing is that in a standard time trial on le mans, the car behaves fine.

At least that seems as though my controller isn't foobah'd just yet, but still frustrating. I tried changing controller sensitivity, downforce balance, suspension geometry and it still does it. Sodding annoying.

Done all this too myself, I was half throttling at high speed down the straights just to stop it snapping left or right but ran out of luck on the last lap and finished 5th lol

Time to try it in an actual le mans vehicle I think.

Yeah, it's odd... Anyhoo, I've completed it in 5th place in a Gr.2 (fastest car I had at the time) and got myself the BRZ, if I'm honest I'm not going to attack it again until the 787B comes up in the legend dealer. It's the only Gr.1 I really NEED in my life, so will wait until it's out and then use the 24m of Le Mans as a celebration of finally getting it lol

I had that happening to me as well, it's probably because the suspension is too low to the ground, so when you are at high speeds the downforce compresses the suspension, which lowers the car even more and makes it hit the ground on that bumpy surface. That's my theory

The ride height adjustment is not available on the Red Bull, my strategy was keeping the speed below 300 km/h (186 mph) at the straights. It worked out fine, lost a bit of time at the straights but compesated at the corners.

I lowered downforce to a minimum. That worked somehow. But I read afterwards that this car has a similar problem like carts in the past. When driving at high speeds you can’t control it properly anymore. So you need to activate countersteering. There is a thread somewhere about it. Search x2019

this could also help

I got very upset because I thought my controller broke, not surprising since Dualshock 4 had their defects too. Everytime the car decides to steer left on a right corner I wanted to verbally yell at it. I've had to retry it several times so a lot of 25 minute sessions completely wasted. This car also does random 360 spins for no reason on wet tires.

The original or the competition? The Redbull Jr doesn't have that issue.

RedBull 2019 from Lizenz Tests, the Problem with that Car starts if you drive on the Slipstream ( at High Speed ) from other Cars. Change the Line on Highspeed and all are fine.

Or try the T1500 and activate Brakeareas + Ideal Line.

It baffles me that this mission doesn't have a PP restriction, knowing that the mighty Tomahawk X (or even the GTS-R) is in the game...

It should've been restricted to 950 or 900 pp. Same with the drag races.

Yeah, if you want the most effective way to do it, the Tomahawk X is the choice to blitz through this.

Then again, with a measly payout of 5.000 for 24+ minutes of racing against Gr.1 cars...

I'm trying the RedBull, but I need a bit of luck. Is the F1500T better (minus the light issue0?

And I'm writing off the Red Bull for this challenge. The car seems to be bottoming out. I got close with 3 laps on racing medium tires and then intermediate tires, but the tires were toast on the last lap and I went from 2nd to 3rd while trying to catch up.

I'm not seeing how it's possible to make up the time with 2 pit stops.

I did 3 laps on racing soft (bit of fuel saving needed and the last corners will be in rain)
Then switching to full rain tires or intermediate (not 100% sure anymore) and driving to the end.
So only one pit stop needed.
Good thing about this strategy was to spend time in the box when it rains hard

I want the chapparel 2J - that's worth it for me 🤷🏼‍♂️

And being something of a completionist

I did it with the SRT, surreal car. parked it in front of the start line for 3 minutes to save the last lap before time ends. Easy win

Used the Red Bull X2019 from the license. Needed a last lap overtake but it is quick enough and controllable enough to get it done.

Tomahawk X, and I think you only need to do 6 laps, so you just park it up before the line at the end of the 6th lap, wait for the timer to run out, then drive over the line and you can join your friends near the top of the leaderboard with around 24:01. If you're brave you can go for 24:00.1 or something, and risk crossing the line too early and having to do the whole thing again to record a decent time.

I used the Dallara SF19 but changed the tyres to hards for a bit of security in the Porsche Curves. The night running was a bit tricky but the car is good enough that you can take it easy. The boost refills once you've used it all too so you can get decent pace out of it.

I managed it with the Toyota TS050.

The first day I tried it, I pitted at the end of lap 3 for full wet tyres, it started raining halfway round lap 4. Managed to get into the lead on lap 6, but each race was 7 laps, and I kept getting caught and passed on lap 7 - finished second.

Tried again the next day, and got caught out because it started raining halfway round lap 3, and I couldn't keep the car on track! So, changed strategy, pitting for wets at the end of lap 2 - the race was only 6 laps this time, and I won by a minute!

I lied, I went back to the Red Bull and lucked out with the AI pits. I did 2-3 laps on racing medium and then 3-4 on intermediate tires. I was thinking about pitting for wets after intermediates, but I was still behind, so I decided to stay out and pass 1st while they were in the pits. It was raining hard, so I had to go slow on the straights. While I was worried that they may catch up on lap 6, they decided to pit again.

I tried the F1500 before. It was quicker on the straights, but still no win.

I don't know, I seem to be burning up tires quickly.
