Forza Horizon 3 Adds Meyers Manx, Toyota FJ40 & More in Week 4 Reveals

Another week, and another list of cars set to be included in the upcoming Forza Horizon 3. Last week’s additions focused on European classics like the Ferrari 166M and Jaguar Mk II; the list unveiled today (care of Autoblog) focuses on the vehicles more likely to be spotted off the road than on it. Here are the 30 cars set for inclusion next month:

  • 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
  • 2002 Ferrari 575M Maranello
  • 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth
  • 2013 Ford Focus ST
  • 1973 Ford Escort RS1600
  • 1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III
  • 2014 Ford Fiesta ST
  • 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck
  • 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE
  • 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
  • 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
  • 1986 Lancia Delta S4
  • 2009 Lexus IS F
  • 1957 Maserati 300 S
  • 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata
  • 1967 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL
  • 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series
  • 1971 Meyers Manx
  • 2012 Mini John Cooper Works GP
  • 1998 Nissan R390
  • 1979 Opel Kadett C GT/E
  • 2011 Penhall The Cholla
  • 1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 Hemi
  • 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS Rockstar Edition
  • 2013 Ram Runner
  • 1993 Renault Clio Williams
  • 1996 Subaru SVX
  • 1979 Toyota FJ40
  • 2005 TVR Sagaris
  • 1990 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton

The list as posted on Autoblog had what we can assume were slight errors: a “1994 Maserati 30 S” was listed (which doesn’t exist), and the Subaru SVX had the wrong model year (we’ve corrected it above).

The FJ40 was actually unveiled early by T10 itself last month, and should match up nicely with the Land Rover Defender and Ford Bronco already in the game. Two of the prizes currently up for grabs in the Forza Racing Championship in FM6 — the Ford Escort RS1600 and Falcon XY GTHO Phase III — also get their confirmations for the open world game. Series stalwarts like the MX-5, SL 65 AMG Black Series, and TVR Sagaris get welcome returns as well.

Volkswagen remains conspicuous by its absence. With just under 100 cars left to be unveiled, could this be the first Forza game without the company?

This week’s reveal has been poor but for me, Horizon 3 will be about the beautiful vistas and not the car list as much since it’s an open world racing game after all. Very impressed with the VIP cars and also last weeks classic beauties. Not really into dirt buggies and off roaders…..

Yeah I noticed as well. Porsche, Volkswagen and Peugeot are the 3 big absent titles so far.

As for Peugeot, if only one car would be added from previous titles I would have to be the 205 T16 for sure. :)

I liked the classics reveal of last week more but each to his own I guess. :) All things together the car roster of this game starts to become really diverse and that’s a great thing.

Maybe VW fired its whole video game/electronic media licensing department to help fund the TDI cheating settlements…

Obviously that’s a joke. The fact that Audi, Lambo, and other VW Group brands are in suggests that’s not the case.

Then there’s the Meyers Manx, which was a kit car based on the VW Beetle chassis… In effect, that is the ONLY Volksie in the game…
