GT Academy Coming to 30 Countries, Including Australia & Brazil

Nissan has released a new video teasing their plans for GT Academy 2014, which hints at a very, very big year ahead for the program around the world.

gt-academy-globalPlayers from over 30 countries will be eligible to compete this year, including several large regions full of people who regularly speak up in our forums about their eagerness to get involved, including Australia and Brazil.

Southeast Asian countries are also highlighted – even Japan could be included, depending upon how liberally you interpret the clues in the video. South Africa and the Middle East are both prominently highlighted as well. Of course, GT Academy India is already underway.

We are still likely months away from official announcements and the start of competition, but this should be very exciting news to many GTPlanet members.

Stop by our GT Academy forums for more analysis and discussion, and to learn how you can start preparing right now for this year’s competitions.

It’s gonna be really incredible GT Academy here in Brazil. I think there is time now as we have tradition in the Motorsport instead we have no incentive in practicing sports in our country.
Perroloco, I know how quick you are, hoping Chile appears in the list too.

glad to hear theyre trying to improve it but untill everyone gets a one shot no repeats trial I believe they will not get the best of the racers out ther. the manner in which the top laps at silverstone was driven became ridiculous and the parameters were also unfair as some people use 0 abs and srf off aswell.
also formula racers like myself are likely to not get the best from the experience and fast reacting intuitive drivers with a dominant track manner and also consistent will never be spotted and phased out of the competion by the flashback/rewind/retry base its set from.

I think set it up with repeatable stage trials to qualify for next test which could be ten laps best lap and overall time required to proceed. then passing/Traffic test which could lead you to a final one shot race to pass with the quickest overall from previous and final results to determine the top 5 per country?

Im not complaining for my own benefit as I cannot enter anyway due to a incident in my teens that i have criminal record from, its just i believe theres alot of good drivers who arent trying it, personally ive given up hope of ever racing for real and a local rally podium will probably be the highest i climb unless Eddie Jordan decides to help the underworld again lol
