GT Sport Daily Races: Highways and Fly-Aways

For this week’s GT Sport Daily Races you’ll be heading to two racing circuits on opposite sides of the Pacific Ocean, and indulging in a spot of street racing.

Race A fills the latter brief. It’s a simple one-make affair, as we often find in the first slot, with players using the Honda Civic (EK) Type R. It’s a four-lap race around the Tokyo Expressway, in the compact Central configuration in the regular Outer orientation — mainly right-hand turns. All you have to do is a pick a color. Admit it, you picked yellow.

You’ll stay in Japan for Race C, which heads to Suzuka Circuit. It’s a classic Super GT race this week, as you’ll take your choice of Gr.2 car — that’s three GT500s from 2008 and three from 2016 — for a 13-lap race of the famous figure-8 track. Strategy will come into play this week, as there’s two types of tire available, Racing Medium and Racing Hard, and a 13x tire wear multiplier.

Where Race C is tight and twisty, Race B is fast and flowing. Heading across the Pacific Ocean to California, you’ll need to take your pick of Gr.3 cars for a five-lap race around Willow Springs, “the fastest road in the West”, in Big Willow layout. There’s no complicating factors here, just choose your preferred Gr.3, slap on Racing Hard tires, and race.

These three races will run through to Monday, March 2, when another new set of three will replace them.
