GTPlanet’s WRS Online Events to Return January 8th

On January 8th, WRS Online will return from our holiday break, hosting our third “Unofficial” online race event of GT6.  We’ll go back to an old favorite from GT5, with “Mountaineering V2.0“.  The races are open to anyone participating in the GTP_Registry GT6 Qualifier (And those who are on the GT5 Registry).

The race features a nimble, powerful and fun to drive Hot Hatch, the Peugeot 207GTi, on one of the most loved original circuits on the GT Series, Trial Mountain (Reverse).  The races will be modified from our normal, hour long format, and will feature several group qualification sessions followed by 15 minute timed races.

Interested in running?  Be sure and visit the race thread and follow the instructions to register for the event in your time zone!  We feature 2 convenient time slots, one of these should work for most members in most regions –

• 3:00 PM Eastern / 12:00 PM Pacific / 20:00 GMT
• 10:00 PM Eastern / 7:00 PM Pacific / 3:00 AM GMT

Registry Qualifier Photo Contest

Participating in our qualifier, and growing weary of running lap after lap, trying to find those tenths?  Get familiar with GT6’s Photomode, by participating in our GTP_Registry Qualifier Photo Contest!

How does it work?  Anyone participating in the qualifier can join.  Share your best still photos from your qualifying laps, and vote on your favorite pics from other participants using the forum “Like” feature.  Pictures receiving the most “Likes” will advance to the finals.  Members will then vote between the finalists to pick an overall winner, which will appear in the OP of the Official GTP_Registry thread.  Many of the finalists will appear in follow up posts on the registry thread as well as other supporting threads in the WRS forum.

What’s Next?

If you’re interested in joining the GTP_Registry to take advantage of the events we are offering, here’s what to do:

• Run the GTP WRS Qualifier. After the qualifier deadline on January 13th, Divisional placement will be required to participate in our events.
• Have questions? Anything related to the qualifier can be discussed in this thread.
• Again, anyone who is taking part in the qualifier and intends to join the registry may participate in our unofficial online events!
