GTPlanet Weekly Race Series: Quarantine is for the Real World

Racing in the real world might be getting canceled left, right and center, but the virtual world carries on unabated.

If you’re self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic, now’s a good time to join in too. The GTPlanet Weekly Race Series has been running for almost 20 years, pitting GTP’s users against each other in time trials and races, with a new theme and new combination each week.

This week, the WRS is trying out a modern Gr.2 car at one of the classic World Circuits – Autodromo Internationale Monza.

WRS Time Trials

GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series (WRS) is headed back to Italy. Our current Time Trial event, Spaghetti Tom’s, takes place at the standard layout of Monza, on Racing Medium rubber.

There’s something therapeutic about lapping Monza in a powerful race car with loads of downforce and mechanical grip. The miles just rack up, and you’ll be longing for more.

You still have plenty of time to get some laps in, as the deadline for the Time Trial is Monday, March 16, at 2359 UTC.

WRS Online Events

Once you’ve had a chance to get some practice in on the Time Trial, we’ll be using the same combination for our upcoming Online Race. We’re hosting a Worldwide event on Sunday, March 15. You can find the event details below.

Worldwide Event Details:

  • Sunday, March 15
  • 1500 Eastern / 1200 Pacific / 1900 UTC
