Kunos Confirms the Ferrari 488 GT3 for Assetto Corsa’s Red Pack

Leading up to tomorrow’s release of the Red Pack, Kunos continues to tease the remaining cars left to be revealed. While we may have already suspected the GT3 racer to be included in tomorrow’s DLC, the team have officially confirmed that the successor to the 458 Italia GT3 will make way to the Red Pack.

First revealed at the 2015 Ferrari Finali Mondiali at Mugello by drivers Giancarlo Fisichella, Oliver Beretta, and Andrea Bertolini, the GT3 machine is powered by the same 3.9L V8 engine found in the production 488 GTB. Debuting at the 12 Hours of Sebring earlier this year, the 488 GT3 claimed its first pole position while simultaneously setting a new course record.

With the confirmation of the 488 GT3, this only leaves Maserati’s Levante and Gran Turismo MC GT4 left to be revealed. The Red Pack launches tomorrow, Thursday, July 14 and will see an accompanying release to consoles later this year.

The pack will pay tribute to Italy’s national racing color, bringing the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV, Ferrari SF15-T, Ferrari F138, and others together. The pack will also include the Red Bull Ring, home of the Austrian Grand Prix.

That is a beautiful, low-slung, aggressive looking automobile. Want.

Will this be part of the PS4 release? (I’m a bit confused about how they’re dealing with this and the console version)

first three dlcs are coming for free and then the rest you guys have to pay for. This and the jap pack with be a discount but future dlc like the two porsche dlcs will come at their full prices maybe with minor discounts at launch(generally 20% off at launch on steam so likely the same on console).

I dont think that the 2 versions of 250F (if we will get both) will be considered different cars… This is not GT… :P

I guess the Levante will be in the pack too… ;)
