Get Ready for the Daytona 24 Hours in This Week’s Project CARS 2 Community Event

The latest Community Event added to Project CARS 2 this week offers a V8-flavored challenge. It also previews the first big twice-around-the-clock sports car race of 2018.

Slightly Mad Studios’ weapon of choice this time around is the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R. As a GTE-class racer, the modern American classic has plenty of grip and speed to tap into on the Daytona Road Course. Maintain a smooth driving line and watch your revs to put in a fast time.

As far as track conditions are concerned, there’s not too much to worry about here. Weather settings are restricted to medium cloudy as we usually see. That being said, the event does takes place during the evening, so visibility might be a restricted a tad. It has been quite a while since we’ve had a note-worthy use of the Live-Track 3.0 technology in these events. Hopefully future events make the elements more of a challenge again.

There’s no preset tuning settings to adhere to this time around. Make any changes required to help set a fast time. If you’re setting your sights for the top of the table, drivers will have to pull off a 1:45.00 at least. As the event has only just went live, expect faster times to appear later in the week.

Full event details are listed below. Players will have a week to log a time onto the event, lasting between January 22–29.
