Project CARS 2 Porsche Legends Car Pack Revs Up For March 6 Release

It’s official: the highly anticipated Porsche Legends DLC pack is coming to Project CARS 2 in a matter of days.

The news comes courtesy of Casey Ringley, lead technical vehicle artist at Slightly Mad Studios. Ringley shared the news on the PlayStation blog yesterday, confirming the pack will arrive with nine of Stuttgart’s finest plus a circuit.

GTPlanet readers will already know the circuit: it’s Porsche’s own Leipzig “Porsche On-Road Circuit”. It was Slightly Mad Studios itself which outed the track last week via the game’s time trial leaderboards. The FIA-certified track, measuring 2.3 miles, features a variety of corners lifted from other circuits. Be it Suzuka’s S-bend or Monza’s Lesmo, players should find plenty to keep them on their toes.

The car list is a murkier subject, at least for now. In addition to that oh-so-pretty 911 RSR 2.8 up top, Slighly Mad has confirmed a handful of others:

  • 1971 Porsche 917
  • 1972 Porsche 917/10 “Turbo Panzer”
  • 2017 Porsche 911 RSR

A leak in 2017 showed off multiple Porsches buried in the game’s code. However, with both RSRs non-existent on that list, the possibility of more surprises exists. Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to see what the other half of the list holds.

Stay tuned for more Project CARS 2 news as it arrives.
