So the cutting edge new Gran Turismo has events that aren’t even as good as the old GT. That is genius!

    1. MeanElf

Well, they are harder than the TTs from GT5 – so that’s better. As for seasonals, who knows when they will return, so it’s not over yet.

  2. biftizmo

??? is there a limit to how many people can log into your room/lobby to watch a race..
maybe a final show down say..not sure.?

    1. biftizmo

Are you making that up ..whats the limit? how do you know? and i’m asking that here because i was wondering if i set up a TT event online how many viewers there could be.. now are you police’ ing GTP MeanElf..as your not really being helpful.or are only 12 years old and having fun.

    2. MeanElf

Now why would i make stuff up – not everyone posting on here is an ass.

Okay, I used to drive with a group on GT5 (Casual Racing Affiliates Program) and we ran enduros. The amount of spectators or racers could never exceed the race room limit of sixteen – so if only eight were racing, we could have eight spectators.

How it works with GT6 what with the community features not yet in place, I can’t say. I do remember reading about the planned community features allowing for more spectators though. You’d need to trawl the news items if you wanted specifics I think.

No, I’m not policing GTP – but if idiots say things that need correcting, I will say something about it – is there a problem with that?

    3. biftizmo

Ok ..so we discovered neither of us are idiots and neither do we need correcting…never had 16 people in a room so never knew…I also always troll the artical”s as i am a gt fanatic.but some times still don’t know every thing..good job we got the friendly neghberhood GTP buddies to help…thanks…so the answer was GT5 defenatly no and GT6 we don’t know…looking forward to making my own weekly seasonal TT”s and also enjoying these ones tremendously …

    4. MeanElf

Yeah, whilst sixteen was the limit, we did have race-room problems occasionally with that number, due to connections and GT5 online not being as strong as it could be.

  3. TRLWNC7396

It will be interesting to see what we get with the community features, and how they affect/are affected by the seasonals.

    1. biftizmo

The community features are a miss at the moment. There’s a big hole in the way we play Gt with friends…here’s hoping for a big web integrated system.I miss sharing, mailing, posting, The log.all these things..and who knows what my mates are up to while i’m not playing..although i do like the ghost system..apart from these seasonal’s..there’s only the game and i suspect some people will have completed that already..also the ability to create events is there already. with TT’s and all manner of event restrictions and weathers times..online in lobby’s.. GT6 is a lot better that way…

  4. Devil240Z

Don’t think I will bother even looking at these events. Wheres the real content? Or anything besides a super lap.

  5. HuskyGT

The FXX TT was okay. Easy 100k. The Impreza TT was impossible and I didn’t even bothered trying the 1 Series one.

Is it so hard to release some A-Spec events? I don’t think it is.

    1. mickoafna

I’ll buy it for a crisp one dollar bill.
Just deal with it man or teach yourself how to be more patient!

    2. Jack The Ripper

I wish I could get my money back from pd and I am beyond sick of people telling us to be patient. We shouldn’t have to wait for half the game’s content months and months later.

  6. GTHEAD87

The Subaru Impreza TT is actually pretty fun. Not tried the other two yet. Just done the Clio and Tesla TT, man they were hard lol.

    1. biftizmo

Enjoyed them Clio an Mazda..gave the Tesla a miss..just couldn’t handle it. i did well 550 rank..
is it me or does gold seem tougher in GT6?..A none tune event this time this should give those who think your cheating by tuning.. a chance to see themselves humiliated..

    2. GTHEAD87

Ye the Tesla one was almost unreal lol. The golds do seem tougher on GT6. The Mazda was fun, that to me was an easy gold. It would be good to see some standard models in the events, like an old Lancer 1600 or something.

    1. Hotrails17

BWX, people like you ruin the internet.. Here’s some great advice to help you not get farther in life: If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.

    2. TokoTurismo

Umm. This is the internet. People can say whatever they want, and so can BWX. If you and others don’t like what he’s saying, simply don’t read it. Not hard.

    3. TokoTurismo

It’s everywhere, yes, but I learned to ignore it and can’t be bothered with it. Some maybe, but not all.

    4. DYLAN777-is-not

He should be able to comment in the comment section. Even if its a complaint. This isn’t china.

  7. Norc0

it wont be seasonal events like in gt 5 for one simple reason . If you can buy 7 mil gold in game for like 70 Euro which is ridiculous amount why would they throw for us races with PP reduction rule . They wont shoot themselves in foot . PD dont give a fk about us but they are not stupid.

  8. M2M design

GT6 is dead! Kazunori, because you promised many things, before launching your game? Only unnecessary words and so much, too much false advertising! You’re not a man of honor! There is something great in you: your immense hunger for money! He stepped on the passion that you had so many years ago!

  9. Makkan786

Right guys lets go on a strike and drive the worst n slowest car in gt6 in every lobby show pd how bored we are

  10. CeeJay

Awww are you serious, I have to pay 70,000 credits for a BMW & if I get gold I only profit like 29,000 credits! At least I don’t have to buy the FXX for 2 million for a 78,000 payout lol

    1. MeanElf

Yeah, I think it’s for getting all golds in the last set of license tests, or challenges. I don’t know for sure as I don’t have those yet, but I do remember reading about it here.

    2. MeanElf

I think I just assumed the FXX was a prize car, as pretty much all of them on the TTs are prize cars, pre-order 25th anniversary ones…or courtesy cars provided by PD. I didn’t know that the FXX was the latter until I came to do that particular TT just now – great car.

    3. GTP_Rex2000

Hey just thought i would post my complaint. Its just a game. you can turn it off and back on again. it is fake money, dont be so serious about something that is just simple entertainment.

    1. Bigsword1955

I’m tired of these events, it’s like we’re getting the scraps thrown out in the garbage for us to eat, where’s the Meat. Content that was promised back in January. Some of my friends have gone back to playing GT5…!!!

  11. GTP_DeathStar

I accept it that they don’t want to add some actual races with large payouts like they are doing for the old game, but only doing it bi-weekly is still confusing. I will only play them to get the chip and gold trophy and call it a day. I feel bad for the guy who puts these up there. I’d be disappointed that my part of the game isn’t played over and over again like they were in GT5…through no fault of his own. I’m sure even that guy is thinking “why am I only doing this once every couple week? Let me create something more for the players, Kaz”.

  12. BrunoI_SRE

I hear everyone moaning on and on, so just for comparison, how was it when they first launched GT5?

    1. GTHEAD87

Its not the worst thing possible. The worst thing would be PD stopping making the GT series all together.

    2. Quakebass

“I got punched in the face, but at least he didn’t chop my arm off.”

      …Honestly, that’s how I see these arguments.

    1. mickoafna

makkan, don’t be like that. All that negativity won’t get us new stuff faster. By the way, it’s culley :)

    2. Makkan786

Cully i think gt7 will be here well before gt6 content arrives mean time lets win the new paints i need more chrome paint man: (

    1. SnakeOfBacon

On several HDDs in Japan, spinning very fast. :P

In all seriousness, I wonder too, I guess maybe it will be lumped in with the Senna content, as getting the track to run in the game is probably proving quite a challenge (The only track of similar complexity, the Nurburgring, uses a complicated streaming system to swap sections of the track in and out of RAM while driving.)

    2. SnakeOfBacon

…and this streaming system works based on the data for the Nurburgring being arranged in certain way on the Blu-Ray and HDD, which is why I can see how it could be problematic. Bear in mind too that the Zahara track has much more scenery visible from any point on the track than the Nurburgring, so that is bound to cause technical problems. There’s also the possibility that they’re still modelling finishing touches on the track (and changing the unusual water surface from the teaser)

    3. justin watokal

how come they announced the track to be released in february if it wasnt ready and why dont they give any feedback about why they didnt release it? i thought japanese ppl were all about honor but where is the honor in lying and not explaining yourself. they thought they’ll just keep quiet and everyone will forget about it?

    4. MeanElf

Most who criticise here aren’t interested in facts or details SnakeOfBacon – thanks for the info, I for one appreciate it.

Hustin, PD would only be lying if they never produced the DLC – delayed is another kind of beast altogether, so their honour is still unimpeached. Besides, I don’t think people commit seppuku for delays in promises anymore…

The communication thing though, well I agree it could be better – but when has it ever been any different? I’m quite used to it now.

    5. SnakeOfBacon

      Thanks, MeanElf

Justin, nobody knows why it isn’t here yet and yes, it probably wasn’t a great idea to announce it for a date that wasn’t going to happen but your ideas about Japanese people seem to imply you think they all follow the code of Bushido, which is absurd. There are no samurai at Polyphony Digital.

    6. Magic Ayrton

I agree with Justin, Japanese people are people of their word, just not PD. They are greedy money grabbers. You have to play a seasonal where by the cars themselves are more expensive than the prize money.. I sold my prize cars months ago (except for FXX) because there was no way to make decent credits.. game is broken and empty just like their promises.

    7. MeanElf

Way to go on the stereotypes and sweeping statements! So all Japanese are money grabbers? I’m sure people are going to love you even more around here for that.

Anyway, I think you are missing the point of the game…and possibly life.

    8. MeanElf

MA – if you waste your earned credits in the game buy buying all manner of stuff you probably don’t need straight away, then you’ll end up short of cash, just like in real life.

Would you care to clarify what it is that I have missed?

  13. TokoTurismo

You would think people will start knowing GT6’s seasonal events are only TTs (Time Trials), but nope. They continue whining as if they didn’t know AT ALL yet… Wow.

You guys are really funny sometimes, just letting you know that now.

  14. mickoafna

I believe we will get a lot of cool stuff before 2015. Those who can’t wait, stop bitching about it and accept it. I love PD & Kaz. I am 110% sure they are doing the best they can.

    1. Makkan786

Yes mickoafna and before 2015 gt7 prologue will be out well before gt6 content arrives or not and people will move on to ps4 and gt6 catching dust(-_-)

    2. ocd1920

I wouldn’t count on the move. Just saw a Gamestop ad for an unbundled PS4 at $399 US. Quite a ticket price for the privilege of trying out a GT7 Prologue. It may be the thrill is gone. The market will not support the required revenues for continued development and content. All of that data is something of which everyone here will not be privy until such time as Sony wants it out. That most likely would also include PD personnel.

  15. Dready1984

I really dont think A-Spec will come to GT6 Seasonal events. A-Spec races with payouts similar to those in GT5 would make the microtransactions pretty much obsolete. And thats how PD want you to make credits, by paying for them. Not by playing the game.

    1. ocd1920

Would love to see the revenue numbers from the sale of credits. I would think it isn’t much. In the long run, I feel the sale of credits may even have a negative impact on revenue. IT may drive more users away from the franchise over a given period and that is not good for the future of GT. I looked forward to seasonal A-spec, more so than these time trials. Personally, I do not see a PS4 in my future. Hello iRacing.

  16. Beaviz86

The really bad thing about the seasonal events are that you have to tune the car…the lp max is always a bit about the stock level. Why do they do that ? I wont waste my thoughts about the missing endurance races and missing new engine sounds anymore….

  17. DBalog

Thnx pd, this is amazing, another boring tt????
That’s it 4me, no more waiting and giving you a chance to redeem. After 15+ year’s playing only gt titles, I am leaving the gt game. Thnx 4 everything and f… of! Enough is enough

    1. mickoafna

Are you really leaving or are you just that angry with PD that you said you’re leaving but you’re actually not? :)

    1. GTP_DeathStar

I’ve checked Monaco a few times to see if they put it in there as an Easter Egg. That would be dope.

  18. Jack The Ripper

Still no a-spec events? Really? Why no endurance events? Or even karts! My god. Same thing over and over. Get it together pd. Enough is enough

  19. lemans2005

Ya, I agree time trial is boring, but I don’t think “chase the rabbit” seasonal event will be exciting until they really fix the AI…

    1. SnakeOfBacon

I see where you’re coming from, GT5’s seasonal race events, while they were interesting and payed well, where often really horrid to play. Starting WAY at the back and overtaking snails and rabbits in a really tight time frame is really nasty. I enjoy these time trial events but also wouldn’t mind seeing the reintroduction of seasonals, with GRID STARTS or at least close and fair rolling starts. GT6 AI has improved quite a bit from GT5, but it can be very hard to see unless you find the menu option to make Arcade AI aggressive, and even then it is still a pain, because when racing in Arcade mode your AI opponents will nearly always include some cars that are impossible to compete against. i.e. when I choose a Mini Cooper S and they get a GT-R.

  20. Amac500

Paint chips don’t look as promising, I want more Military and Generations chips! Super Laps do get boring? Is it really that hard to give a 10 laps endurance trial?

    1. COUNTERSTEER123

What I mean by that is, why is it ONLY time trials in GT6? When will hey add a-spec events? I hope sometime soon.
