StarLight Garage brings to you the Lotec Sirius a German Supercar with a very limited annual production. A car which you not often will see on the road.

Lotec is a German sports car manufacturer. The company was founded in 1962 by Kurt Lotterschmid. By 1969, the firm began building race cars, and would turn their attention to modifications for Porsches in 1975. In 1983, they began to create aftermarket aerodynamic and performance parts for Mercedes-Benz cars.

Lotec have produced one of the most powerful road cars of all time. Now with over 1000bhp and 811 lb/ft of torque from the Mercedes sourced twin-turbo V12 (same as used in the SL65 AMG), Lotec claims a Bugatti matching 400 kmh, 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and 0-200 kmh in a shattering 7.8 seconds.

Manufactured from the lightest and most modern materials applied in the aerospace and automobile industries, carbon fiber composites combined with tubular steel. The bodywork is produced from the optimum combination of carbon, Kevlar and glass fiber materials.

The Lotec Sirius was introduced in 2001 as a Concept car and went into production in 2004 until present. Only 5 cars will be built per year with a price of 468.000 euro.
A lot of money but matches the Veyron for less than half the price.

348mph top speed? Rubbish! That must be a typo. 248mph maybe? If this generic hypercar was capable of that, 348mph, Lotec would have had it all over every media it could. Plus you would need your head tested to spend nearly €500,000 on a car with no pedigree. Impressive figures apart from the comical top speed.

Those headlights look familiar though. Any ideas?

Yes it was typo ... sorry but I'm human and can made a mistake, nobody is perfect.
Correct, thanks for reporting.

Can't help but wonder what the combined weight of the hinges and struts/counterweights/springs is. Wheels don't suit the car as far as I'm concerned, though...something in a concave 10-spoke might be more appropriate, with a deeper bowl in the rear. Perhaps even a 3-pronged 5-er to mimic the gills and hind-quarte features.

Saw the picture and I thought "oh here we go another supercar vaporware!" then read that there's actually five of them tucked away in garages. Voted of course. Altho' I thought Lotec died out awhile ago...
