Another GT Sport Update is Coming September 6

We’re still digesting GT Sport’s v1.25 update from last week, but already there’s another update on the way.

Players logging into the game today will find a server maintenance notification greeting them. So far, so normal, but this maintenance period carries an update with it too. The official notice reads:

At the following time, we will perform maintenance on the ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ servers. A new game update will also be available after the maintenance. Please note that during this time the online services, including [Sport Mode], will not be available.

[Day & Time]
6 September, 2018, 04:00 – 06:00 UTC
* The above time is subject to change.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

As there’s very little by way of fanfare, this doesn’t seem like it will be a major update. Instead, it’s more probable that this is a small patch intended to address some issues that Polyphony Digital has become aware of. Still, we said that before v1.25 as well, and that turned out to contain the Red Bull Ring and the Shelby Cobra Daytona…

Once the maintenance period starts, players will lose all access to GT Sport’s online components until they install the update. This includes saving the game, so make sure you get a manual save in well before the window opens.
