Assetto Corsa & Season Pass Up To 55% Off on PS Store This Week (UPDATED)

Have you been sitting on the fence in regards to the console version of Assetto Corsa? We liked it well enough in our review last summer, giving it top marks in terms of physics and feedback, if not in terms of variety. That said, a certain German marque is quite the appealing addition these days. Of course, nothing can quite match the lure of a good deal.

This week’s PlayStation Store deals went live yesterday, with plenty of holiday discounts on offer. Leading the charge for racing games is Assetto Corsa, getting reduced to $33.49 USD. PlayStation Plus subscribers enjoy an even bigger discount, with a price tag of $22.49 USD.

Surprisingly, the Season Pass also enjoys the same discounts (33% and 55%, respectively). That’s a dime over $20 for regular PlayStation gamers, and $13.49 USD for Plus subscribers.

Since the rest of the game’s DLC isn’t a part of the sale, the Season Pass comes off as an absolute steal. By comparison, the first Porsche pack alone — which just made its way to PlayStation barely over a week ago — lists for $6.99.

That means canny deal-hunters can get all three Porsche packs, the already-released Japanese Car Pack, and the Red Pack for less than the cost of two Porsche bundles. Or, for those that don’t yet own the game, getting it and the pass can be done for $36 USD total.

Oh yeah, Need For Speed is also heavily discounted this week. But we wouldn’t recommend it.

Waiting for private lobbies to come to the game, so you can race with friends? We recently posted a workaround method to make racing easier.

UPDATE: It seems this discount only applies to the North American PlayStation Stores for now (United States and Canada). We’ll update further when/if the deals spread.
