Two GTPlanet members, Synwraith (Maz) and GTP_Ingram (Alex), were involved in the setup and organization of the recent “15 Years of Gran Turismo” event at Silverstone, where Gran Turismo 6 was revealed.

Over the last 15 years, Gran Turismo games have become somewhat notorious for delays, but Sony is apparently hopeful that Gran Turismo 6 will not follow that tradition.

GT Academy 2013 is gearing up in the United States, and information about the coveted “Racer X” wildcard position has finally been released.

One of the repeated points of Kazunori Yamauchi’s presentation at the Gran Turismo 6 reveal at Silverstone earlier this month was the growing connection between virtual simulations and reality, and how Polyphony Digital can benefit from increased collaboration with motorsports teams and real-world automotive engineers (and vice-versa).

Gran Turismo’s logo was prominent around the Nurburgring this weekend at the 24 Hour race, and Polyphony Digital  surprised viewers of the race’s live broadcast by showing off what appears to be the first-ever video of the Nordschleife Gran Turismo 6.

The future of the Gran Turismo series is set to be revealed Wednesday, May 15th, at a major media event hosted by Sony at Silverstone Circuit.
