Just as the sun “rises” over one horizon and “sets” on the other, Microsoft will let the original Forza Horizon fall into darkness shortly after debuting the series’ latest entry.

If you thought Porsche tuner RWB, in addition to several other never-before-seen names, being mentioned in the credits for Horizon 3 was something to hold on to your seat for, consider this: an Expansion Pass for the upcoming open world racer has been outed – by the game itself no less.

Today, console and PC players alike can rejoice: Early Access to Forza Horizon 3 is here, bringing the entirety of this year’s open-world epic to those opting for the digital Ultimate Edition 4 days ahead of its official street date. For those without such a privilege your journey begins on September 27th when the game officially hits retail (and digital) shelves.

Forza Horizon 3 officially launches in the Xbox One and Windows 10 ecosystems on September 27, but owners of the Ultimate Edition gain early access in a matter of hours depending on location. Xbox Canada invited GTPlanet to join in the festivities to celebrate the upcoming release of Forza Horizon 3, and this is the third leg of the cross-country tour. While we’re just over a week away from Early Access users being able to tour the entirety of the Australian Outback, mumblings of an exciting ride expected to appear in this year’s open world racer have surfaced.

We’re coming at you from the largest city in Saskatchewan on the second leg of the #AcrossTheHorizon tour with Xbox Canada. GTPlanet is tagging along on a portion of the trip, which started in Vancouver on Monday.

The Forza Horizon 3 demo has just gone live for Xbox One, weighing in at a little over 18GB. The celebrations aren’t over, as Xbox Canada is spending the next two weeks travelling across the country doing events inspired by what’s possible in Playground Games’ latest open-world racer.

The wait is nearly over, early access users have a mere 11 days left on the clock until the entirety of this year’s open world epic is available to them. For those without such a privilege, instead opting for the retail release, the wait is furthered an additional 4 days.

When the off-track, open-world racer known as Forza Horizon was introduced to the gaming world in 2012, it was clear that the atmosphere of the Motorsport spinoff was just as much about the music as it was about car culture.

The worldwide release of Forza Horizon 3 is weeks away, but those looking to venture into Playground Games’ rendition of the Australian Outback may not need to wait much longer.

Over the past few weeks there’s been plenty of excitement in the Forza camp as the days remaining until the release of Forza Horizon 3 tick away. The beginning of the month saw the original Forza Horizon make its way onto the Games With Gold platform, available to all players with an active XBL Gold subscription.
