Americans are gearing up for Thanksgiving next week. Thanks to a certain consumer-oriented event that also takes place on the last weekend of November, Playground Games is kicking off the holiday celebrations a week early in Forza Horizon 3.

The launch of the Xbox One S has been a resounding success for Microsoft. In the UK, the console has outsold the PS4 for the past 4 months despite Sony’s stronghold on the home console market. Had your eye on the HDR-ready Xbox revision? A promotion between Forza Horizon 3 and Amazon’s The Grand Tour may be able to help if you live in the US of A.

In case you couldn’t tell from the headline and featured photo, this weekend’s round of Forza Horizon 3 Forzathon challenges encourage drivers to do one thing: log some flight time.

It would not be the end of a calendar year without the proverbial “best of” lists; and, lo and behold, one such list has emerged with a contender from the racing genre in the mix.

So, you have a PC and are unsure if Forza Horizon 3’s open-world automotive adventure across Australia is the kind of game for you? Good news: a free demo has finally arrived!

The Forza Racing Championship started its second season last month in the open-world arcade racer that is Horizon 3. This week, the competition returns to Turn 10’s sim-oriented Motorsport title, offering players the first challenge that could lead to one lucky person finishing the year off $10,000 USD richer.

Talk about being blind-sided: Turn 10’s Brian Ekberg has made it clear that racers with Windows 10 PC’s have more to look forward to with Forza Motorsport 6 Apex released earlier this year.

After a few days of respite, Horizon Festival-goers should be well rested and geared up for Round 5 of Forzathon — a sporadic series of in-game challenges with some worthwhile rewards.

Winter is coming. Not just in the turn of the season but also to an Xbox One or PC near you as the Horizon festival drops the Aussie heat for a bit of ice cool snow. Playground Games have dropped the above teaser onto the tail-end of their latest car pack reveal to really get the imagination going as to what the first expansion for the game could potentially add.

Turn 10 Studios has kept up a long-standing tradition of inviting fans to guess the contents of its downloadable car packs, and that ritual continues ahead of November’s Forza Horizon 3 update.

After a successful inaugural season, Turn 10 have revealed that the Forza Racing Championship eSports competition is returning for a second season, set to kick off on November 7. With the event being sponsored by Michelin, Logitech G and Playseat, players will ultimately go at it for cash and prizes worth more than $150,000.

It was well over a year ago when GTPlanet reported on rumblings that Electronic Arts’ exclusive licensing agreement with German automaker Porsche was set to expire sometime in 2016.

It has been five years since Microsoft’s Turn 10 Studios and previous Halo developer Bungie teamed up to bring the M12 Force Application Vehicle to Forza Motorsport 4. Now, the battletested four-wheeler from the future returns to the home front for a more racy cameo in Forza Horizon 3.

While it’s never the wisest idea to cheat one’s way to victory in an online-dependent game of any nature for fear of gross imbalances, Turn 10 have announced in the latest Week in Review that action is being taken against PC players, permanently banning them from what is arguably the backbone of Horizon 3 itself: online play.

As gamers continue to get settled in with the acclaimed Forza Horizon 3, the cadence for the open-world racer’s Forzathon kicks into high gear.

This week’s Deals With Gold offers on the Xbox Store focus heavily on our genre of choice. With Forza Horizon 3 garnering the lion’s share of attention for the franchise right now, Microsoft is offering substantial deals on most of the older Forza games and DLC in the lineup, while 2015’s Need For Speed is also available for a fraction of its original price.
