If anything, Timothy Peters lost it. Had he not put Kyle up by the wall, he wouldn't have lost the momentum.
Had he not tried to block Kyle, he would have lost it anyways.

@nascarfan1400: Truck spun down to the bottom, he would've 1)blewover 2)go back into traffic or 3) save it. Lucky for him and everyone else, he saved it. Not sure who it was though.

Well. So much for the decent, On Par commentary and great camera work of Fox... Tomorrow it's ESPN's start of their season to desecrate NASCAR! Yippe!

No way to the blowover. After studying multiple blowovers, at the speed he was going, he wasn't going over, by any means.

Images of Newman's blowover at Dega in 2009 are what I get every time a car or truck goes backwards at a decent speed.

And thankfully, their final season.

Truck that spun:
Jimmy Weller
And at the angle he had, he lost a lot of speed before the "sweet spot" of the air could get underneath the truck.

What?! Explain this glorious news!
Heat of the moment mostly, on my part.
Oh, no problem man, lol every time a COT would get backwards (with the wings) my instant reactions were:
"OOOOOOHHHH HEEES IN THE AAAIIIRRRR-- oh, he saved it..."

Fox Sports Live is so inaccurate, that was not by any means the closest finish at Daytona "ever ever"...

Same here.
Its amazing how something like that can affect someone.

The facts that both in car cams survived and that they actually showed their views on the TV makes Clint's flip all the more awesome.

I guess his car must've been running on what was on the hood.
DW- "There's Clint flying like a feath-- Wh... he did a 360!"
Mike Joy- "I give it ten."

Not surprised to see the same reactions as usual to a cup driver winning. I don't see whats the big deal anymore, people barely still watch the cup series as it is and from what I'm seeing with attendance, people aren't going to the races like they used to so what difference does it make if they still are winning in the lower divisions? Hell, I enjoy these races far more then the cup races as they are far shorter and there's much more passing and maybe its just me, but I honestly get the feeling that Cup isn't nearly as fun for the drivers as it used to be.

Also, I find it funny that you guys have nothing to say about Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne beating the crap out of the Sprint car field (or Ryan Newman running the Modified race every year) even though they are technically doing the exact same thing.

This is ESPN's final year of NASCAR coverage, next year they'll be replaced by NBC Sports.

I can't until summer of 2015 when we see Rick Allen call Cup races. Follow him on Twitter and you'll see he's secretly one of us unlike a few announcers

Lol!
"Ju... Just turn it to the left. Turn it left if ya can... Ou... Our pit box is at start finish... Uh.. Ah.. Yup.. Your good..."
My friend and I had a good laugh at that during lunch at school today. Funniest moment of the year in NSCS so far.

Technically a contradiction but at least Tony and Kahne sell out most of the local tracks they race at like Bobby Allison and Ken Schrader did (or does in Kenny's case). When Kyle runs a Nationwide race the stands typically look about half full.

Oh no... Pwahblems in the Sprint cup too...
:)

Fun fact: I've used the term "Pwahblems" so much in the past hour it is now part of my iPads auto-correct.

I don't mind them running sprint cars as I consider it to be a completely different discipline of racing. As for Newman, it's hard to be outraged at something I didn't even know was happening still.

What modified race? Lol
