happy with the performance of the Vipers over the race so far...outside of the power steering issue, on the #91 and having to rebuild the entire front end of the #93...i dont think it would have been out of the question to have both on the podium...and i think they would have won GTLM...but it was not meant to be...

very excited for the rest of the season!

#02 going behind the wall

Muscle Milk up to P5!

I love the Bond reference, which I assume is intentional, with the Aston Martin number "007". 👍

Aston Martin has done that a lot with their cars over the past years.

Just realised its the 55 BMW in GTLM P2... Awesome! Priaulx and Hand! :D

It looks like Joey*puts on sunglasses* holds the fate of the team in his hand.

Same here, and I'm pissed the last time I was awake Vette was running second strong but no more.
Last night at the race I left to my car to get sleep and the #3 Vette was in second right behind the SRT. I wake up to find out it retired. I left the race today with the #4 Vette in second bearing down on the #911 Porsche. By the time I checked my phone at the car they dropped way back because of mechanical issues. :banghead:
Shame about the #3, they went from the back of the entire field all the way to the front. Was running so strong. And the #4 with Tommy Milner at the wheel would of most likely caught the Porsche for the win.

For having a car that isn't as new its disappointing they had as many issues as they did. They also had a pit stop issue along with other problems as mentioned. Though the fact this is their first 24h anything and they are still running and somewhat came back from their issues against a stronger Porsche and Corvette racing, shows they can be quite strong.

BMW is the bigger surprise to me for some reason, maybe because no one was talking about them winning or even podium

I was just about to post that the two leaders can't get to the end without more fuel and just as I do they pit.

Not a good time for my stream to start playing up!

Both Ganassi cars are now out of the race.

Dario Franchitti@dariofranchitti2m
great effort by the whole team“@CGRTeams: 02 car out of the race due to the floor rolling back under the car. Cannot be repaired. #Rolex24”

im not too disappointed other than the fact that i think a class win and double podium was easily within reach given how they were performing..power steering pump is a freak issue, just like the gearbox bearing on the #4....the off track excursion of the #93 sucks, and that shouldn't happen...but even the pros make mistakes...

but overall, based on how the cars performed, the season looks promising for SRT to take the next step

BMW is a surprise, but they have taken advantage of the issues the better performing cars have had...kudos to them...

As much as I like him Montoya seemed more and more reckless and less useful in a DP in recent times.

He was abit over the top, so much so that even Tim Keen had told him to settle down last year.

ANYONE FOLLOWING THE GTD BATTLE?!!! WINKELHOCK CLOSING DOWN ON PIER GUIDI, DOWN TO 8.3 SECS!! GO Winkelhock!!

It's their first 24h race, Viper did quite well for it you should give them a little slack. Podium is never easily with in reach in the first 3 hours of a 24h race. Toyota P1 team can easily tell you that , so could Vette.

Every time I hear 'GTD' I keep thinking there's a class for diesels.

Also, oh, there's Mikhail Aleshin, and oh, there's Markus Winkelhock.

Nooooo Leh Keen Nooooo

edit;
Uh oh that went wrong again

He didn't do himself many favours at the Indy Grand-Am race, but he's fast in a way that was wasted on ovals.

Now this is gonna get interesting.
