Hmm...there seems to be something wrong with this 'new' version (that turns out to be on 'old' version then). It sometimes automatically (and unwanted) shifts up or down a gear. All in all it does not feel right either. Keeping the Shokeus ACT80's/DrDoomsLab version (and changing the number )

VR users: change steer lock to 260 (not 360) to keep the hands in synch. This is one of those rare anomalies where 360 doesn't work.

Be aware, it looks like Brabham's insta account might have uploaded the wrong outdated car, and a week early as well. The proper car download should be 500mb, apparently. Check the thread at RD.

Could anyone please tell me if this is possible - I would like to take an already existing car, copy it, rename it and have two cars that are basically the same, but have different names and skins? When I tried to do that AC got very unhappy and presented me with a bunch of errors that prevented me from starting the race.

- Unpack data.acd with CM from original car. (mandatory)
- copy/paste car folder and name it as you want
- delete data.acd from copy folder (it's the one from the original car)
- repack data.acd (optional)
at this point, car is driveable but without sound.
To get the sound, in sfx folder , rename the sfx bank with the name of the new folder. Open GUIDS.txt, replace every occurence of old folder name with the new one
ex :
{some key 1 }bank:/original_folder -> to -> {some key 1 }bank:/copy_folder
{some key 2 } event:/cars/original_folder/bodywork -> {some key 2 } event:/cars/copy_folder/bodywork

done.

edit : and to differentiate the two, edit car.ini and/or ui_car.json

Or just use the Assetto Corsa Car Tuner.... Choose car you want to clone in the tuner, create new tune, click close, done. It takes less than a minute.

Doesn't work for some cars so you have to manually duplicate them using CM. Takes a minute as well.

Aaah ok. Thanks. Then I keep it in the garage for now. Besides the reflection in the banner (already mentioned by you in RD) I also noticed in cockpit view that the camera mirrors your own helmet? Probably adjustable?
Better to wait for an updated version?

Change the rear view camera to 'monitor' but it's better to just download the updated version from Assettoland, TBH.

That might indeed be the case, previewing it in CM those shadows look half finished to me. Apologies for giving the wrong version of it, I'll delete my post so as to not give people this seemingly obsolete version so thank you @Masscot for helping me realise that.
Hopefully Brabham either realise their mistakes and/or upload the correct car.

Hi just downloaded the track and it looks really good , I will try and sort some A.I. out layer today for it , Also noticed that in your vids that your using a Lada Vesta TC1 just wanted to know if you have a link or where i can get this as i would very much like this car to complete my WTCC collection .

NO. AndreasFSC made the original version for Race07.

I think, he will allow to convert it into AC, if somebody want it.
(Because a team convert some of Andreas cars (not the Audi 80) into AC, and selling it.... So Andreas offer to convert all of his cars and release it for free.)

Talking of McLaren F1s, this McLaren F1 GTR Longtail 2-in-1 pack by Francois Besse is underrated and doesn't need much TLC to elevate it to being a Very Good Mod.

As usual with a lot of mods, physics are copy/paste from what seems like an inappropriate Kunos car but it still drives well. The driver position is good, animations are good, cockpit looks good, external model is good, shaders are OK... worth a look anyway. It's a solid base.
Maybe just needs some shader tweaks, some wiper/exhaust shake and other CSP goodies, some higher-res liveries...

I did read somewhere (maybe on here ) he was willing for someone to convert over as simdrem had been making money out of his mods in AC

For comparison this is the other Brabham by Shokeus ACT80 and DrDoomsLab, and straight away you can see how much more polished the latter is.

Nope, it's the bad version BEFORE Shokeus ACT80's/DrDoomsLab fixed it. Unfortunately they didn't update the rev number (grrr...) when they updated.
Restore your old Shokeus ACT80's/DrDoomsLab version and maybe up the rev number on that one to 1.21 so when this bad version inevitable comes around again you'll know not to overwrite it.

Beauty of this one is that unlike the other tracks like Nurb GP and Mugello etc the new track layout isn't just a rough service road....
Kunos put a lot of work into a part of Silverstone that no one would ever see let alone drive on.....

All good....but alas the cameras in the track folder are made for the other layout so you miss the action...for me pointless so i had long binned this track off...until now....
Track camera, i aim to do a couple more.....enjoy.

'txt' to 'ini' and add into CLASSIC track DATA folder only in ks silverstone.

Any vintagy sounding flat six sound SFX files out there anyone can recommend other than Porsche's? Almost done with the Corvair but using the Kunos 911 RSR sound files for it doesn't seem quite right.
