Need your help

I have try CSP and a weird track (St_Petesburg) and now like others before I got a Dark/black Screen when I launch a race...
Not a windows black screen, just that i can hear other cars but my screen is dark, all work but it's impossible to race in total darkness

What is the solution those who that better than me to repair the game?

Pepperoni, you'll think I'm joking, but try rebooting your PC.
Sometimes CM gets stuck in weird settings that won't go away unless you reboot.

Happy to report everything is back to normal after recent shenanigans, although I need to know what caused it in the first place to try and stop it happening again. There are tracks out there that trigger this black screen issue for me (and for others), so there must be a reason.

One positive: I've now got 5.1 over optical so can ditch the HDMI connection to the amp and stop my PC thinking I've got a second screen connected (because Windows/Nvidia aren't clever enough to differentiate between an amp and a monitor, and are too stubborn to let you tell them). This should make my audio output more stable and not randomly switch between amp, TV and Rift when starting the PC.

It's also crazy that 5.1 over optical isn't enabled by default in Win 10 by Realtek and you have to brute force it.

I got the same problem as you got before, trigger by st_petesburg this time, we could make a list of the track that trigerred the "black screen"

Do you have a protocol to resolve this problem please?

Must be said, i do not use sol, so it come only from CSP, one step further

I've had this with a few tracks (the Soyo one posted yesterday was the latest). When it happens it can lock my Rift into permanent black screen until I reinstall my display drivers. Sometimes it's even been necessary to reinstall Visual C++ Redistributable files.
No idea for sure what causes it, I wish I knew. Trying every new track is a bit of a lottery at the moment, you never know if it's going to trigger a black screen. Thankfully it seems pretty rare, I think I've found about half-a-dozen tracks that cause it, many of which worked fine in the past.

Edit: interesting that you don't use Sol - it's good to rule that out as a cause.

Thanks a lot mate, if it could help, i got only one monitor, no VR, and when i click on F1 button to change view, the only view that seems to have the problem is the onboard cam, exterior ones, cockpit work, really strange.

Never experience that before, i try csp today, and when i launch that track, the black screen happens and now i got it with all the track, like what you have already explains before.

I do not use sol, never, so it only come from csp, he deinstall csp, the problem is still there, gonna try your advice, really strange problem !

Are there any special tweaks that need to be done to get GrassFX working well in VR? I tried it a few months ago and my VR performance tanked. I know you’re a pretty extensive user of CSP and VR so you’ve probably got some good settings tweaks you’ve made to improve performance and I’m curious what you’re using.

Personally I’m usually pretty careful about not updating CSP unless there’s a real reason to, do I’m still on 0.1.49.

I've never done (or tweaked) a GrassFX config so I'm not the person to ask, I'm afraid. I don't seem to have any performance issues with it but I do have a big buffer to play with by only targeting 45/ASW with my current hardware.

It works for me, i have just deinstall cps, change the view (f1) to one that works (exterior one) then reboot the pc, launch the game, then come back to on board view, all is ok, if it could the same for others, would be nice! :)

Under normal 'fair usage' considerations that's not really necessary unless you're selling the mod. And really, it's their mod to do with how they please. They can pull it for any reason they like and nobody else really has any right to complain. All the fuss here about this mod being removed is like an object lesson on entitlement and more than a little embarrassing, TBH. They provide these mods free of charge and it's obvious that a lot of work goes into them.

I didn't see anyone complain yet, in fact basically we all got something to download.
Then the person comes on and says "the mod you have isn't the one we pulled, because the one we pulled we haven't even made yet..."

Because that makes perfect sense.....

Basically they use kunos physics, nothing wrong with that, so really all they change is skins and maybe the mod for the mustang...
So yeah...we all have the mod already.....

Whatever you say though, ripping physics and models, then having a massive drama because some rival 'crew' took their skins for AMS2 is actually a bit pathetic IMO....

It is without doubt, in no way entitled behaviour, to pass comment on how other people carry themselves.
I do enjoy their previous work from time to time and the 'new' V8's are basically the same as the last lot, which is about correct for real life too..

So yep, no entitlement here.

Anyway.....

Croft by legion the 1995/1996 layout (what a treat!)
2 cameras for it..currently has one which this won't overwrite.

Also re visited the same tracks main layout ones 'croft sp' as i didn't like them as I've learnt some new stuff since then, so these WILL overwrite my old ones unless you named them camera 3, camera 4....
But just overwrite...

Cheers..

Regarding that Soyo one. I just looked at it. I might try it, but man, there are a ton of extra shader files this thing puts in. I wonder if that is what is causing your issues pepperoni and mascot? I'll let you know what happens. I'm going to try it without the extra shaders first.

[EDIT] Okay, I just tried it without installing all the shaders included with the track. Works fine. Now I'll try with the included shaders and we'll see if we blow 'er up real goooood.

[EDIT 2] Okay, I tried it with all the shaders included with the track. No issue... except all the p0rn that popped up on my screen while racing. omg. JK. The floating starting point in hotlap is disturbing though.

[EDIT 3] I can't remember why we were discussing this track...

Come on, lots of people were complaining..!
I wasn't singling you out but we'll have to agree to disagree on the general 'entitlement' angle. If people complain that a totally free and uncommissioned anything is no longer available then isn't that kind of the defenition of entitlement? Surely the creator can control how it's shared (or not) without having to justify why?
Anyway,. All's good, just debating.

Guys what happend with the new V8sCorsa mod, I can't download it on the website anymore, and I found a link here but I don't know if it is the latest version.

Does anyone know why this keeps coming up? 6 times this has popped up this week, and every time Content Manager deletes itself and I have to re download it and search through my emails for my paid code. It's a little annoying, so any help would be super. Thanks

Have had this issue as well. Solution: hover your mouse to the right, until the GUI list appears, then choose the pp filter section. You will see, the "default" one is enabled. Change it back to your chosen PP filter and voilá, everything is back and fine.

OK...one last thing though.
They have a website. I am all for private mods, that's the choice of the modder...but why the website /FB epage etc..
That is the extreme version of those people that come on here and post a pic of a car then disappear and wait for the attention of people asking where they got it from, no?

Anyway it's all moot...as we all have the mod anyway as the link has been posted.....

I'll join the club of Goose bumps. What an intense, immersive Daytona experience! Thanks for this incredible piece of art.
Forgive my enthusiasm see it as my way of appreciation. That's the least I could do and contribute besides lurking content.
Here's is quick replay race in the video thread. The sounds, the weather, the graphics, the athmosphere, the replay cam. Just everything!
Despite I made a crash (again) it still was a joyful experience. Thanks for giving me that smile on my face. Needed it!!

Man this is going to be a great weekend again!

Your video looks amazing with this track. How much FPS do you get with that race? I also have a 1080TI and an I9-9900K, but i'm struggling to get decent fps, especially during evening lighting like in your video. Are you using AC with SOL and CSP?

Yes, they have a website and under normal circumstances the mods would still be there to be freely downloaded. But unauthorised use of their cars skins forced a rethink about how things were distributed, and the mod was subsequently pulled in the meantime. We can debate the rationale but at the end of the day it's their mod and their decision. We have to grin and bear it and hope it becomes available again, but does anyone really have the right to complain about it?

In my case McAffy was responsible, he eliminates it.

Is there a way to alter the visual ride height of the a.i cars?

The ASR Formula 1991 cars look a little ‘jacked-up’.
I want to get their floors really close to the ground, like they were in reality and like I can with the player’s car.

These F1 91 cars are extremely fun and exciting to race with. Sorry I don't have an answer to your question.

Yes, everyone does have a right to complain about anything...at least in my country.
If I were to be pedantic, you are complaining about people complaining...which is your right as well..

Lets get back on topic!

Look at the offending car in CM Showroom and use Align With Data. Does the car move while checking/unchecking this?
Setup the body of the car in car.ini Graphical_Adjustment and when you have it where you want, click update model.

about V8 mustang. Just after few minutes of soughts, its now unofficial copy (not from modders) with some visual issues(front lights, skins quality) . but in fact its same as Falcon or Commodore.
Its a pity modeers won't make another public release, but do we really need it? When you race - its same as Falcon, and don't see exterior at all))

I've decided to confuse things even further on the V8 Supercars just for a laugh. Here's the Mustang, no idea which skins or year it is but I believe it's the 2.6 version. Difference is in this one I've made the quickest bodge job in modding history to fix the rubbish proportions of the original which was too narrow and looked ridiculous next to the Holden. Pic below: Holden on the right, Standard 2.6 Mustang (downloaded from previous page) in the middle, Fixed correct-ish width Mustang on the left. This was quite literally a 2 minute eyeballed job in blender, I've no idea if it works in game or messes up some skins, as a bonus though it looks like I sort of fixed the windscreen glass as well, although I don't remember doing it.

EDIT: Link's been updated and car actually works now :O, also slight shader improvement and wheels/suspension changed so the car looks normal now after aligning data.

Thank you! I have the version 2.6, but I don't recall the Mustang being included.
