Guys, do any of you have anything from here? I have spent months trying to find the other mods from them.

All garbage, will brick your PC, all contain Trojans, thought to be the original source of Covid-19, proven to cause impotence and diarrhoea, literally conjures up demons from the bowels of hell who poke acid-tipped cocktail sticks down your tear ducts.

Avoid.

I have to say though. It's almost come full circle. It started as a question. Then it just got annoying. But then, it just kept on happening and it's moved to being quite comical now. I'm almost looking forward for the next time he asks, eagerly awaiting to see the determination of getting something off that god forsaken page.

It was my mistake. I deleted the ext_config.ini in the Skin folder. Headlights should now work.

View attachment 935829

Hi,

I downloaded the pack with the new skins but the headlights aren't working still. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Thanks very much for this, look forward to testing it later. This Panamera mod seems pretty good. Any idea how to fix the low resolution mirrors?

No problem but now I'm really confused! There's a Panamera mod? The fix I provided was for the original Kunos Porsche DLC car.

If you want to fix the mirrors it's easy enough, I'd guess the reason they're low resolution is that for some reason Kunos gave them a 4x4 resolution NULL.dds texture instead of their standard (on other cars) 128x64 Mirror.dds texture.

Just open the Porsche Macan in CM showroom, click on a mirror, click on the Mirror.dds texture and hit export, then save that texture in the Panamera folder. Then open the Panamera in CM showroom, unpack the KN5, open up in the KS Editor, right click the mirror, go to the material tab and then replace it with the exported texture from the Macan, then just save the KN5 over the original Panamera. Job done.

Here's Volume 6 of the Assetto Corsa Multiple Track Mod Review Project or ALTERNATIVE TITLES ARE HARD

Volume 1 - A is here.

Volume 2 - B is here.

Volume 3 - C and D is here.

Volume 4 - E, F, and G is here.

Volume 5 - H and I is here.

I have also added a Testing Car field to show which car I used to do the testing with. I'm going back and adding that to all the previous volumes as well.

This one has nice looking grass that could be enhanced with a grassfx update. The surroundings look good and I don't notice anything amiss with it. The track surface is pretty smooth. The mountains are a bit smaller than real life, but it's not really a deal breaker. Overall a pretty good conversion from rFactor.
Update: I adapted Sliderman's config INI originally made for the Terra21 version to this track and gave it some grassfx and it looks great. This was already the version to get, but with the updated grass it's even better. The updated ini for the grass can be downloaded here:

Folder Name: jacarepagua_historic
Author: Terra21
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/3cdap1w3wuccich/jacarepagua_historic.rar
This one has a lot of signs that are badly stretched to the wrong aspect ratio and it basically just doesn't look very good. The driving is fine, and it has grassfx. The mountain backdrop looks cartoonish compared to the other one, but the mountains actually appear to be the proper size.

This one doesn't have grassfx but the textures are still pretty nice and the only thing I can find wrong with it is a weird alpha blending mode for the surrounding mountains that have some really weird bugs with the sky in VR. This is probably just a problem with the latest CSP and in VR, but it's really immersion-breaking.

This version fixed that blending mode issue, and otherwise is pretty much the same, aside from being a bit darker. I prefer this version.

There's a bunch of inside-out trackside objects here, like tents and trucks where you can see the inside when you should really be able to see the outside. Street lamps glow red, I got stuck in the road near the last corner. Pretty bad. For how bad it is, it's still better than a lot of his pay tracks.

This one fixes all of the problems pointed out above. It still looks like an old track, there's only so much you can do with the source material, but it's leaps and bounds better than the Gilles version. This is definitely the one to get.

This track has some issues. The textures look particularly out of date and the trees and track surroundings are super-bright, there aren't any shadows, and it overall just looks really bad. The road is fairly bumpy as well and could do with some smoothing. An interesting fact about this fictional track is that it was based on a really elaborate slot car track. With some visual improvements and smoothing this place could really shine because it's great fun to drive.

Folder Name: kastleburg

This version fixes pretty much all of my visual gripes. The track is just as bumpy but it doesn't burn my retinas anymore. This is the version to get.

Kirkistown
Testing Car:
Ford Mustang 2015

Folder Name: kirkistown

Download: Pay mod - https://celletson.wixsite.com/acclassics/modern-tracks
The track is bumpy because the mesh is pretty low poly, and the placement of the pit stalls is on the wrong side of the pit lane, but as far as Gilles conversions go this isn't the worst. It's not great by any means and not worth paying for.

Folder Name: kirkistown

Unfortunately the pit lane is not functional as a pit lane. That's probably a pretty easy fix. Some of the trees/bushes are a bit repetetive and the 3D grass could be replaced with grassfx but despite these shortcomings it's still better and more fun to drive than the Gilles version. This would be a cool track to revisit and fix up.
Update: I fixed the pit lane issue and added grassfx here:

Now this one is beautiful. The road has way more feel, the grass looks great, the track has a lot of atmosphere, and overall it has had a lot of attention paid to the little details that make the place look real. This is one of my favorite tracks in the game. Then I started racing at night and fell in love all over again. This is a wonderful mod. Also included are the 2017 layout and a reverse layout.

This is a pretty rough conversion. It's got harsh lighting, bad and repetetive textures, and many signs with the textures stretched to the wrong aspect ratio. The whole place just looks crowded and blah. The road surface doesn't feel any better than this place looks.

This is a slightly enhanced version of the other one, but it's still not very good. There are many great versions of this track from different eras but it's a shame that this particular era is lacking in quality mods. This is the one to get if you need this track from this time period, but otherwise just get one of the other good ones.

This track is really fun to drive on in the right car. A Pagani Huayra was the car I used for testing here at first and it was definitely not the right car. (I usually let CM pick a random car for me for these tests and only switch it if it seems wildly inappropriate). Once I switched to the Formula Renault I had a much better time. Nothing bad about the way it looks other than some grass growing where it probably shouldn't.

This track is definitely old looking, but it's still pretty good. Main problems I have with it are that the trees are a bit ugly and yellow, and there's a lot of flickering in them. Not sure what the deal is with that. Trackside objects look fine, the signs look good, and it's overall a pretty cool rendition. The transitions from sand to grass are a bit harsh and there's some pretty bad 3d grass going on. With some modern attention this could really be improved...

...Which is exactly what Zwiss has done here. The improvements are so numerous that it's hard to believe it's the same track. He's eliminated the harsh angular white road lines, replaced the trees with something that looks nice. Made the trackside look much less busy, added grassfx, and all kinds of little touches that make it more realistic. This is DEFINITELY the version to get.

It's a basic start but it really needs a lot more work before it's ready to release. The walls don't work, the trees are repetetive, and seems like it's pre-alpha. Plus the track is so large and the center point of the map is so far from the racing surface that everything shakes like crazy. I think this track is just a bit too big for AC's engine to handle.

EDIT - Re-upped the link as I had deleted the boost gauge function earlier in error

Link is below and also in the Youtube video for the Puma Racing I have converted from Forza Horizon 4 with 3 versions-

Puma Racing (standard) 152bhp FWD
Group A Rally Spec 300bhp AWD
Tuned Hill Climb Special 928bhp AWD

Also included is a folder with KN5 replacements if you don't want the rear plates on the cars. Still a few errors I need to fix and will upload here when I do, I wanted to add a rally interior and skins but I messed up the mapping so lost the motivation, if I can fix I will. Other things to do for now.

Feel free to share, improve and enjoy.

Yes, I see that you listed Kyalami 2000-2010, and these 2 tracks don’t fall within those years. Hence, my question about the letter K list.

Job done.
Looks like the mod is just a souped-up version of the Kunos car with some new cockpit lights, so the windscreen fix probably copies over 1:1.
I must admit I thought it was a brand new mod when I tried it earlier - the Panamera isn't a car I've previously spent much time in, if any.
There's a safety car variant as well, I think.

Yeah, both of the good ones you mentioned aren't the same layout as each other and not the same as the ones above, so I'm not comparing them with each other but I will say they are both better than the ones in the list.

This is a rework of the other version and it is mostly optimization and AI changes. It also fixes the grass. It makes an already good track into a great one. Grab this one!

So, this is the 4th one of these incomplete versions of this track out there and really, to be honest none of them are worth getting. Wait for the codemasters conversion which will come eventually.

Since you're doing the Lords work here I would like to make a suggestion to you. What I would propose is that you make a new thread here in this forum. Reserve the first 4-6 post spaces so you have room to grow. Just type reserved in a new post until you have 4-6 posts you can edit (does anyone know how many characters one post will accommodate?)
Then we can ask @daan or an admin to make it a sticky. Kind of like the track list that was over at F1Classics forum. This way you can always edit your posts and they stay at the top of a thread and never get buried by a thousand other posts in a day. Just a thought.
