There is Silverstone 1988 by Rainmaker available, I think we got covered with nearly all Silverstone eras right now.
That track’s layout geography is(with the greatest of respect) atrocious, sadly.
Kunos’ 1967 Silverstone is much more accurate in geography terms, but lacks either version of the Woodcote chicane, and the aesthetic is firmly 60s. That’s the version I still prefer to use for 1980s cars though.

the AI s cars have problems with their back wheels. Is there anything to do ?
 
I don't have Windows 11 so I can't check but it's possible file extensions are hidden by default if they're known (i.e. there is a program associated with them, which in case of .txt files, there would be). You may have to make them visible first.

Here is how! Do that and you should see the .txt extension of the files. Now just "rename" the file and take that .txt part out of the name.
Thank you. I think I did something like that on windows 10. Not had windows 11 long. Will check out.

Thanks man. Was hoping someone would do some fixes on this ride. Took it for a spin in VR last night and really enjoyed it...but I noticed some issues.
 
Which CSP version do you use? This requires a patreon CSP preview version >= 0.1.76
latest preview.. no problems with other cars

Edit. ah shoot. I tried actk s skins with it...and with those its not working. stupid me.

I really can't wait for your historic Dijon track, but I'm also dreaming about two others ones that are badly missing in AC :

  • Brands Hatch 80's
  • Paul Ricard 1971-1985

Could those be part of your future projects maybe ? ;)
After the spectacular Sebring 60s of Nukedrop, I believe that what we really need next for AC is a vintage version of Daytona (road and oval).

Roaring around that circuit, on a Ford GT40 or in a Plymouth Superbird with a 70s atmosphere probably is something insane.

RMi's Silverstone 1975 has Woodcote chicane, if that's what you're looking for.

It also has an update by THR pitman, that installs as a new layout and has the following edits:
  • pitboxes added (from 26 to 34)
  • starting positions aligned to track
  • realistic road mesh
  • sticky fences fixed
  • shortcuts closed
  • 3d people added in the pits
  • spectators added to the stands

Hey guys, I've been getting into a habit of tinkering about with old mods (for priavte use), however I'm facing an issue when I change textures in content manager such as AO or any other basic texture, the entire program freezes and requires me to force stop it.

Funnily enough once restarted the texture which I have been trying to load would have been applied.

Is this a known issue with content manager and if so is there any fix?

Yep, has been happening to me for quite a few CM/CSP builds.

It happens to me too, and then it disappears for a while for no reason at all. I can suggest you to work with kseditor directly, in this way you can avoid this problem.

  • You should be able to copy the files straight into you assetto corsa folder as long as you have the track installed. It will ask to override - backup your track if you want to keep the original files.

  • If the new grass still won't show check your assetto corsa folder: extension/textures/grass_fx. You should have a "highlands.dds" file in there, otherwise no grassFX.

Yeah I tried that as well. A great conversion from wherever the source came from, but the source wasn’t too accurate either, sadly.

I know it sounds like I’m being especially weird, but it’s only when you truly compare the tracks, is when you find the glaring inaccuracies. :boggled:

I’ll try the newer added layout just to be sure.
 
Question, i have a showroom type 'track' its like an old garage, I'm trying to make it like those ones where you can enter via practice and take screen shots rather than the CM showroom ones.
What does it need to function?
I tried hot lap start node, made the thing classed as a road but the car doesn't end up where i want it and floats in space after a while.
Anyone done one of these and can advise?
 
Thank you for this, it's one of my all-time favorites since back in GT Legends!

Something is odd when the AI drive the car though. The rear wheels are both angled inwards.

Me too. This happened to me with a couple of other mods in the past; I'm starting to think that this thing of the rear crooked wheels AI cars is a secret vendetta by some evil modder that sneaks this type of errors in random mods and just now is secretly laughing while petting his cat... 🤨
