Perfect, thanks.

I was wondering, has anyone here done something similar for other series?
I'm slowly doing all WEC/Le Mans seasons/races from 2025-1940~, I've done 2025-2002 plus a few others like Le Mans 1979.
The biggest issue are the skins, we have a ton of skins for the modern cars (not all of them) but when you reach the 2010 era and below, either the skins already come with the car or they don't exist at all. The cars start to be a problem as well since you start having so many different prototypes and different versions of the same brand/car (looking at your Porsche with all the 992/993 versions), some of the years you may only have half the grid available and almost no skins. There are many groups/people working on older Le Mans cars, and the dream is to one day have them all available in AC.

Does anyone know why assetto is not saving the newly .candidates (pitlane and fastlane)?
I had several cases now where I drove a good fastlane, quit the game and the ai folder has no new candidate in it....
Very annoying... Tried CSP 0.2.7 and 0.2.11
There was a "no AI gen" bug issue in between those versions, should be fine in the latest tho.

Quick work around is to disable CSP in CM by:
"General Patch Settings/Shaders Patch/Active[ ]"
Make the AI and re-enable.

I encountered the same problem.
Restarting the PC fixes it (in my case).

The 2.12 fixes it, but i had the same issue and reverted to 2.04 to get the ai.candidates finally saved.

Hats off to you, that is one heck of a project. Years ago I came across some website that had I think all the cars and skins from the Le Mans 2015-2016 but have never been able to find it again. But I'm sure Assetto Garage would have a lot of different models as well.

A bit off topic...but related to the AC F1 AI discussion... someone was kind enough to send me the PC version of F1 2020 from Codemasters. I have the game for consoles but you can't buy it for PC anymore. It's not available on Steam anymore.

It's light years better than the new Codemaster titles that came after it (the only one I didn't buy is the new 25 so can't say about that).

Why it's not available on Steam anymore?

I think its reputation would hamper the sales of the new EA F1 titles because it simply puts them to shame. Sure its FFB is not nearly as good as AC, iRacing, RBR or RF2 but it's ok. And of course the steering is a bit "numb" and it doesn't have much of tyre feel. But I'm the first one to admit that the AI is pretty amazing compared to AC (proper blue flag/outlap AI, etc).

This game is the reason I never bothered with modern F1 seasons on AC. Sure the driving is not as good as on AC but the rest of modern F1 stuff (DRS, ERS is so flawlessly implemented) F1 2020 was actually a good game. I wonder what made them to lose this quality in their later releases.

Just imagine this game with AC's physics and moddability.

Looking for a mod. Its the Opel Vectra VXR BTCC/WTCC mod it was hidden away on a site mainly with rally cars. Its not the GTsupreme one. TIA Pete

Disable "New AI Behavior". The entire extension. Untick the checkbox.

Re-enable when finished.

If there's a Secret Santa that is giving out F1 keys, gosh, well, it'd just be SWELL if I could get a Steam copy of F1 2010 or F1 22 in my stocking to replace my """portable""" copies!

What a fowl place Overtake is with no ad blockers... wow.
wretched. unusable.

still looking for a way to disable the "waah stop using ad blocker" pop-up. there must be some element in the page itself that's generating the fade and the message.

I'll keep looking. I used to pay for RaceDepartment but they have turned into a slop content factory. And now that they're owned by corporate, that mandate is turned up to 11.

I will never pay again. Or disable my Adblock. What they've done to a once-great site is unforgivable.

I made a quick update of La Vall Street Circuit Víctor Abad by Giga10:
  • semaphore fix
  • replaced marshals and track cranes by RMi (using TrackDecoration app by leBluem)
  • replaced the 2D crowd with Crowds texture by Kniker97 (not perfect on grandstand)
  • fixed the AI
  • replaced the barrier textures with No banners and new asphalt by mikeblueberry
  • fixed some shaders like trees and fences

Use it on mobile if you like having your whole screen hijacked by obnoxious ads or by unsolicited auto-running videos that chew through your data allowance like Pac Man on angel dust.
It's not just the presentation that's in decline, the overall standard of 'journalism' has dropped to embarrassing levels of sensationalism.
It's a great shame, but entirely predictable once it went corporate.

What a fowl place Overtake is with no ad blockers... wow. Staying away as much as possible now... (please don't use them!)

ublock origin still works for me! (firefox)
uBlock Origin here on Chrome works #1 !!

I am using uBlock on firefox as well and I am getting the "stop using adblock" sign every few clicks.
So I have just figured it out.
To get rid of the pop up you need to load Overtake, when the pop up shows click the uBlock button and then click on the dropper button, then you click on the screen, not the pop up then click create on the box that comes up from uBlock.
If you use the zapper or the dropper on the adbloack popup then you end up not being able to view the page because there is a grey filter over the page. Doing what I said blocks the popup and the filter.

Seemed to work. That must mean that the whole popup is an overlay.

So scummy. I'll keep an eye on it. Cheers.

So far, so good for me. Thanks

Team is there an easy way to assess the BOP for a set of vehicles?

Allowing you to then set weight and restrictors, and test.

Thanks in advance... if not, this would be a very useful app to have.

I’ve been wanting someone to make a tool for this forever.

Best way I’ve found is to just put the AI on 100% and do track days at a suitable circuit for that group of cars like Barcelona, then just add weight and restrictor until they’re all lapping within a second or two of each other.

sx_lemans v3.1 final (final like in "will finally not touch again")
-fixed issue with drains, lowered the mesh, and removed SIN_HEIGHT/SIN_LENGTH set in surfaces.ini
MediaFire or GoogleDrive
Thanks a lot and a special mention for the performance layouts in relation to performance issues with the recent wave of GT3s.

I've literally tried them all this week!
The solution of limiting the cars' audio channels as suggested on these very pages is a nice plus, but the performance boost is minimal. Loading 15 cars on the full sx_lemans is a nightmare, and I mean most GT3s, RSS/CF/vityaz/URD, no matter the condition and even using the normal physics versions.
The URDs seem to suck a little less performance wise, a small thing.
All my tests were made on the full offline AC experience races, meaning racing at basic 4k/60fps/pure ppf needs to work smoothly as well as replays/all external cams/camtools setups.
(oh and with the replays I mean watching them for at least 3 laps and having the session not die with all the nasty gpu spikes)

At the moment deeply optimized tracks are the only way to enjoy decent grids with these cars.
As always this post is no way a judgement of this or that mod, rather just statistics.
Modding can be rough, hot water discovered and obviously LeMans is a bigga, intensive circuit

I'm led to believe that complaints about recent CSP performance issues have reached The Patreon Princess (Ilja's superyacht, currently berthed in Monte Carlo) and that they are receiving attention.
Wet weather performance in particular seems to have fallen off a cliff lately.

Thanks for the info!
That killed me btw.

Updated to v1.3 yesterday.
Here's a better shifting animation too:
Thank you for this. It's just me, or this dude made a weird thing packing the mod? Inside the mod folders, you can find another j8_aston_martin_db9_coupe_06. I unzipped this version and it's this the one telling that's the 1.3 version. The other one on the main folder still says 1.2
