Thanks for helping I've also unpacked data and modified parameters inside Driver3d.ini repacked and deleted old data.acd but nothing changed.

question for the camera guys, can a camera be made to follow a path instead of just being stationary in AC? so example duplicating the AI line, lifting it say 50m above the track, maybe scaling it outwards tad, (or better yer just make your own path) to create a helicopter replay view like ACC?

Amazing! If you're planning on doing the drivers, I could share with you my 80's PSD template which has virtually every patch from that period.
Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I'll do the drivers for initial realese. Mainly cause there is so little info and photos from that period. For some cars I found only a few photos, for some I had to fully rely on YouTube old footage. So I really don't know where I would find data on what they were wearing. Maybe will do some generic ones I guess later on. May take you up on your offer then.
 
Anyone else think the steering on the Chivas cars is way to... eh... fast?

When i drive these cars around the nurburgring for example, i just have to hold my steering wheel a few degrees off center and it will turn the hair pins at turns 1/2/3/4 etc? in every other car, including URDs shiro i have to turn into the corner and will use the wheel to add or remove some slight steering corrections to get the perfect line.

With these cars its as if i can turn the wheel few degrees and its at full lock or something?

So i tried with my controller and the car feels amazing, do chivas use wheels etc or are the cars tuned for controller leagues?

I really like the cars, but i find them almost impossible to drive, not because they are difficult, but because they feel so unrealistic on a wheel, they turn in to fast, they have no rotation, no room for finesse as its if the degrees of rotation on these cars is so low, its almost digital?

Deplinskys car and all other cars require small inputs on the wheel, working with the wheel adding more or less steering to get round a corner, driving with finesse. With these cars every corner i come to, i only have to turn my wheel a few degrees (literally 2cm) left or right and just hold it there and the car makes the turn for me?

its as if its jumped to full lock, and it feels absolutely terrible?


Edit: After a little more testing i think the brake pressure is also to high, and i can not adjust this in the setup? it reminds me of the crazy brake pressures sean clark used to have in the radical before he fixed it. I just rest my foot on my pedal and its lock up central?

poking a stick at the zandvoort track to see if a sat terrain droping is possible, looks doable, but, the original mesh has a lot of overlapping geometry making uvunwrap impossible, so some fixxerating means there is an entirely new mesh "shrinkwrapped" to the remnants of the old one with niice rational uv coordinates.
SO
How do I save JUST this new one piece mesh and texture on its own in a KN5, and "replace" the 20 or so old seperate meshes as a "skin"?


progress on Zandvoort2020 (the original with 3 layouts etc, not the RD one. albeit I cannot do this as a skin, had to tear that model apart. this is the raw sattelite imagery, needs a bit of a paint fix still and some blending, but going ok so far.

That looks awesome! Thank you so much for working on this. I don't know who put that version on RD, but it seems to be one of our earlier releases of the track. Not the last version we had worked on/released on this forum, although I can't check right.

What you are doing looks great, totally beyond our capabilities for sure. Great work!
 
Time for the month challenge.

Lets see how and if, many of you can beat my top speed driving the Honda Civic,
As a bonus to make the challenge easier, the track choice is free.
Just for curiosity, my top speed was achieved at Tsukuba Short. Hahahahahaha....

Have a look at the 'Pinewood' track that's on RD. It has a great aerial drone camera and you'll probably be able to work out what to do from that.

and, many a slip twixt cup and lip after saying its NOT the RD one, I eddited the damn rd one, once i nut out that texture ill edit into correct one (yours) and pass all the files back to you guys to update. right now its that awful painting out shadows and walls phase...

Does anyone have link to the AC shader patch discord server? Can't seem to find it anyway. Still having major issue with any patch beyond 0.1.60 even the the latest 0.1.66 with IER P13C and Audi R8 from ACC conversion. For IER P13c, quick race and couple of laps later, screen will just grey out and stop working. With Audi R8, would just boot me straight back to main screen.

That's insane! I absolutely love the Model 3! Went on a cruise with some mates not long ago and one of the guys has a Model 3 Performance and repeatedly he blew the doors off my VF Commodore SS! (LS3 manual) And didn't have to recharge during the day either! I had to fuel.. dang I want one!
Looking forward to further updates on this mod!

any chance of a link for that version of Sonoma? or a better version? The version I have looks like its been ported from rF1 with DX9 graphics..
 
Haha, You achieved that speed with full throttle, but look at mine screen. The speed was achieved with no throttle applied,

Track IR5 is fantastic! Been using it for a while now and can't drive or fly without it.
I did try VR but it gave me severe motion sickness. Track IR works great for me.

I downloaded the rf2 version on RD but I think your version will be cleaner level of textures.
we find in some cases the textures of rF2 and it is therefore not clean.
I am surprised that a paid and official circuit is converted and shared on RD the person certainly does not have the authorization of Studio 397 I do not know ... I noticed some small texture flaws on the converted version of rf2

How can I make the lights of the headlights a little darker that they don't glow so extremely

You have to mess with the ppfilter you are using (or try another one).
You can adjust in Glare section:

luminance=2
BLOOM_LUMINANCE_GAMMA=1.59

and try it in game. Adjust further to suit your taste.
