You can set wind to random in CM in drive tab. Also time of day can be set to random.
Yeah, tried that years ago but Sol/Pure overrides it. As far as I can see there's no current way to have a random wind direction in Sol/Pure?

Thanks very much. There's so much to love about this car but the jerky Bruce Lee shifting animation kind of craps all over the VR experience, with the driver's arm teleporting between the rim and the shift knob like he's being electrocuted. It completely kills any sense of immersion whatsoever. I heartily applaud your ambition in attempting a full gear change animation, but the execution isn't great I'm afraid... and it really needs to be absolutely perfect to appear natural. Is there a way to disable it and just have a normal Kunos-style shifting animation that looks believable, for those of us who use VR or have the driver visible?
I tried moving all of the gear shift animations into a separate folder and adding a Kunos shift.ksanim, but it didn't work.

Edit: OK, if all of the various hand animations (lights on/off, wipers on/off etc) are also moved into a separate folder then a normal shifting animation can be substituted in and seems to work fine. I'll do this for my own use.

And thanks for leaving it unencrypted so things like this can be adjusted for personal taste.

WIP - "The German Corvette"(!?)
After presenting the renewed Corvette LT1 from 1991, I went to get one of its most important rivals on the other side of the Atlantic, called "the German Corvette"!

Late to this, but when I hear "German Corvette" I think about the Opel GT, and now I'm sad because apparently ScamDream made a mod of it that is no longer available anywhere.

 
Does anybody know if theres a better AI for ks_laguna_seca? can't seem to run more than 2 laps without half of the GTP and GTD classes crashing (got AI strength at 100% and aggression at 15%) TIA

For some mods I did it, it also happen. But not this time, I'm using the original mods FSR mods with the RD skins from BTCC 2020-2023. As I said, me and other people are using these same Patreon links to download it, so I figure out the problem will come from another part.
did your bro ever installed reshade? If so, this problem can be caused by some files (which I actually don't remember sorry) that must be deleted after you eliminate reshade from your game

Hi guys, I have a problem with the latest CSP 1.80. When I try to take a picture from game, except for some filters, I obtain overexposed images.

I've tried both the CSP photo tool and the AC tool to take pictures, but the result is the same. That's a CPS bug, or some new settings that I have to check? I never had this problem with the previous version.
i am finding, since the new csp updated, each time i restart my pc the pp filter resets to default filter, and I have to select the pure filter each time. I cant get any other filters to work other than the pure ones. have you checked the pp filter?

it's not a ppfilter problem. Just try to untick the second box under AMD fidelty in extraFX settings
 
In addition to this, as new gen F1 cars has a low complex aero I've also tried doing a F1 3d model for a posible future F1 project mod. Some kind of W14 based car which I should still have to finish to model (waiting to know whether they gonna evolve the car or not).

More progress from the W14.



And yes, I'll do the new sidepods/floor and every upgrade from Imola and onwards.

I have that OpelGT (almost was my first real car). Ive not ever driven it, so I will try to test it this week to verify physics and any other updates I can do. Lets see... maybe it will resurrect itself

just shared what I am going through in case it helps. ppfilter reverting to default everytime, no matter what filter I choose causes the over exposure. ppfilter never used to change from selected one to default.

Hi all,
Not exactly AC mod (but for AC using SimHub).
With the blessings of the original creator, I've modified a 2023 F1 TV overlay for leaderboard/timing dash so that it can be used for pretty much any F1 car through history.

Check your ppfilter, some of them have a setting in it which causes CM to be set to default after using. I did not figure out which one but most likely it is one which has not been updated for use with csp180p218. With newer ones, it should not reset to default by itself.

Don´t use reshade with CSP 0.179pXXX or upgrade to a newer version of CSP or downgrade reshade to a lower version than 5.6.
To fix it immediately: stop using reshade.
That could help me a lot, big thanks. I'll come up with news this week if there's any solution.

  • You should be able to copy the files straight into you assetto corsa folder as long as you have the track installed. It will ask to override - backup your track if you want to keep the original files.

  • If the new grass still won't show check your assetto corsa folder: extension/textures/grass_fx. You should have a "highlands.dds" file in there, otherwise no grassFX.

My PPF kept resetting to default with the latest preview CSP, but seems to have stabilised now.
I think what I did was deselect the Pure PPF, then activate it again. Since then it's been fine.

I have noticed that the replays not manually saved are automatically deleted the next day. This is happening since the last csp patch. Is there any way to avoid this? Thank you.
 
MONDAY morning GPLmania NEWS (got a coffee?)

The announcement of 3 GPLmania parts is now obsolete, there will be at least 4 parts! So we will have 9 championships and 4 new tracks in total! (Zolder 67, Clermont-Ferrand 1965, Laguna Seca 60s and a new one pictured below)
I was able to map the GPL universe quite well: 60s Formula 1, lower 60s Formulas, 50s Formula 1, Sportscars, CanAm and Pre War GP.

Second news is preparation for the upcoming GPLmania championships. 2 new AI line for Sergio's tracks that will be part of the Formula STARborn.


I removed the Spa '66 AI lines from my account because Racinjoe's version has already good ones.

Last news is that big parts of the old TrippTeam server is online again. This was the greatest resource for gMotor2 games (rFactor, GTR2). There are also some GPL mods, no tracks sadly. This is great for all converters and lovers of old games.

I'm still working on the 3D model for Lorelord's P70 at the moment, but after that I wouldn't mind looking into it, give it a fresher look :cheers:

There’re quads in AC? Awesome, seeing as bikes don’t fully ‘work’ and pretty much feel like quad bikes, these could be the ideal middle ground.
 
Hey what is the best way to do a HUD for assetto corsa? I want to make a FVA hud using the texture I collected from the game but don't really know the best way. I'm hearing about simhub, csp and regular assetto apps. What would be the most convenient way for me to start making an HUD?

And yeah i do have some experience in python, coding shouldn't be much of a problem
 
hi, anyone know how to hide the driver head parts for the lovely driver "lm_mai_shiranui" ?
Normally I'm able to select the parts w object inspector, but now no... ?
(eg in the BMW E31 850CSi)

I did a few shader changes and replaced the glass texture some time back.

The car itself was pretty well done aestheitcally by the dream.

The headlight animations are pretty accurate. The wiper blades should be brought closer together but the animation is decent enough.

Havent tested the physics much so no idea what needs fixing there.

The car has about 20 skins with a few notable real life ones missing. Would definately be worth the time to spruce up a bit.
