I did a few shader changes and replaced the glass texture some time back.

The car itself was pretty well done aestheitcally by the dream.

The headlight animations are pretty accurate. The wiper blades should be brought closer together but the animation is decent enough.

Havent tested the physics much so no idea what needs fixing there.

The car has about 20 skins with a few notable real life ones missing. Would definately be worth the time to spruce up a bit.

Lots of artifacts on the body shell, i'm afraid. The interior's not too bad tho, but the lot could profit of a few more details.
The only concern for me would be to keep the animation for the head lights (very cool!) and the skins fully operationals.

But! That's no priority, for now.

idk why they got infected and I don't even know why some people detect a virus there. Those are winrars I've made from a unique folder from my pc. Account recently registered, 2 messages only advertising of this, dude relax... I don't even know how to put a virus in a winrar or whether that's posible lmao.

well you don't put a virus in winrar.

The problem is that ini files can be a security issue. For example, desktop.ini (which collect all information about icons and folder name so that file explorer shows them to you) can be tampered so that a virus.exe would be shown as firefox.exe on your computer (name changed and icon changed)

ini alone aren't a problem, but an ini in a rar file with an virus.exe may be (if somehow it manage to override your desktop.ini which is another story)


But sometimes, windows defender can be a little too trigger-happy with ini files, and display that error code which means that someone can take full control of your computer. Which can be true (as seen in the example), but very unlikely in this scenario. It has to be chained with others vulnerability or some extrem user dumbness.

Wow, lots of thanks for all the Opel GT info/links -- I'm pretty sure it's one of those GTR2/GT Legends conversion jobs, but there are still some pretty good ones out there so maybe this'll be one of them. Then again, it was also in Forza so I'm sure there's the possibility of a higher-quality model rip someday...

The Forza model is available for free on the gamemodels site, but unfortunately I'm not good enough. A professional modder at some point, maybe...

I'm relaxed. You shouldn't be. I believe you don't actively put trojans or ransomeware in your rar-files. But the design/nature of this malware is you don't notice it so many other systems get infected. I always double check my downloads and when you already had more warnings I advise you to check your system.

Don't oversimplify ransomware threats. Microsoft Defender may have had a reputation, but in 2023 it has proven to be a very good anti-malware tool. If it marks your file as a severe ransomware threat, you should treat it as a serious red flag.

FTR, Kaspersky (paid) (the acknowledged 70kg Rottweiler of antivirus software) also says it's clean.

I am in the field of cyber security I know what I'm talking about, and I already checked the file. Seriously I even listed out an explanation but you just skipped all that to just tell me "windows defender has a bad reputation but now it's solid"

Yeah of course it's solid now it does protect your pc, which I never said it doesn't. But false positive is still an issue with defender being too over protective sometime and I even said why.

Next time you want to answer, read the message.

It needs new left and right sidelines recorded. As they are now, they run through pit lane which will cause the ai to hit the wall if they run outside the normal racing line. If you don't know how to do it, let me know. I can record them real quick for you.



I'm bored since I don't have any ongoing projects so I goof'd around a little with the Bilster Berg 2020 track. Turned out pretty nice, IMO.

My STW Hasseröder Skinpack for the 406 BTCC is finished.
It includes #1, #2 and a Gridfiller #21.
Im sorry for the weird artefacts on the Hood, I dont know how i could compensate the Mapping of the Car itself. Paintshop didnt work ingame for me.
