I need (help?) or info about something strange.

On some tracks (not everyone, i noticed only on Shin tracks, not everyone) i noticed that sometimes, cars have an artefact like the one you see in these screens. Anyone have idea on what are the cause of this?

as you can see, around the cockpit there's a sort of square black box (it also happens sometimes on the rain light on the back of the car) which makes me think it's caused by some lights that are extremely "overexposed" but it's happens only on some tracks (only from shin as said).

Anyone has noticed them too? Thanks

The car's engine data is relatively easy to translate from AMS's file system into AC's. While you can get suspension data from the AMS files too, it's a lot harder to translate that into an AC Suspension ini. I know; I've tried with the Marcas touring cars.

They seem to be VERY high quality and seemingly scratch made so who cares? if they are not scratch made, prove it.. and prove how much is stolen that any normal person can tell, because i cant. There old mods sucked, but so did most other modders.

I hated their 2022/23 cars but the 24's are not bad at all. Weird SD turned their website back on.

Having tried the RTT 2024 Ferrari, it’s very… how can I describe it? It’s very basic. Sure you’re not gonna get the quality like a RSS or VRC. But you can tell minimal work has been done to it. Or even if someone else has done all the work for them. Similar to some mods. I think they might’ve had a dream or something.

Bad jokes aside it’s very similar to how SDD came about.

Your right, I love RSS but man VRC is hard to beat. It got better with every patch too, wonder if they will do a 24 car or just update the 23.

I don't like to get involved in certain politics that go on here. I also think the new RTT mods seems to be made from scratch and
they are very good IMHO.

The RTT RB20 so far is one of the best RB20 mods out that I have driven, handles great and sounds great too.

Maybe they did something wrong in the past now they doing it right? Unless someone has some proof of wrong doing
it's just basically slander at the end of the day.

I'm glad that someone, had driven the RTT RB20 IRL, in order to give a real feedback about the driving.

For what it's worth, Max did actually say one of the RSS cars (2023? 22?) felt quite realistic. Wonder if he's gotten to try a VRC yet

Max has only ever publicly commented on the RSS Formula Hybrid cars. He has never commented on these SimDream/RTT 2024 cars.

Yes, you beat me to it. It was the RSS 2022 car, if I remember correctly. A year and a half or so ago, a few months before the 2023 release.

He was largely complimentary in his ~30 second review. He said the car felt correct and the physics were quite good (with CSP, obviously), and the basic setup changes made available for the car do indeed roughly simulate what they do in real life. His issue was that the onboard DIFF settings do not quite work as they should - opening the diff simply loosens the car, whereas apparently in real life there is generally a feeling of more grip on the front loaded tire on corner entry when it's opened. That is apparently absent from the RSS car, it just feels binary "loose/locked", which isn't how it works in real life.

I am not good enough to use the onboard DIFF in the RSS car, so I can't say for myself. Lol. I'm more focused on keeping the car on the road. Safe to say I can trust him, though - and I hope RSS took the advice to heart (and felt good about praise from a soon to be 4 time World Champion).

Hi All, I have upgraded to CSP 0.2.3 and lost the mouse cursor and controls to apps in replay. Anyone else experienced that is there any way to get around that? Thanks.

edit: N/M I should have read the update info, when mouse steering is active, csp apps and F5 ignore mouse, no wonder......

one would think he hasn't driven many mods.. no idea, my sim rig is in Australia and I'm currently in Vietnam, so cant test it

Lot of remarks goings around Simdream or their satellite websites, but lets look at these grid animations. I never saw this on other modders work, so I guess it’s original SD works. Pity this is to modern in my taste, if this was a somewhere between 1920 & 1960 crew I’m sure did buy this.

And has I said politics aside the RTT RB20 is one of the best F1 mods to come out this year.

I only have 661 hours in AC so not sure if that's a lot or not. certainly don't regard myself has an expert just stated
my opinion that the car is good. Someone else may thinks it is complete trash and that's also fine if we all liked the same
things we would all be with the same chic and nobody wants that!

RTT claim they making each F1 mod based on the current 2024 F1 season performance numbers.

I have tested most of the F1 tracks raced on this year and the laptimes seem to be close or similar the the current RB20.
Other RB20 F1 mods seem to be way off in terms of Laptimes.

The latest updated version of the RTT RB20 V1.20, seems to achieve lap times very close the the real RB20.
