So now that we finally have the 2003 Mercedes DTM car I'm trying to gather the remaining skins and best versions of the other cars.

The 101 creative (updated by ACTK) Vauxhall Astra 2003 seems well balanced on paper but doesnt have skins from 2003.

Does anyone have any?

If not any idea where this rip came from? Seems to be the same mapping as the 2002 car.

The best Audi TT is the 2001 Assetto Garage update from ACTK (ag_audi_ttr_dtm_2001).

It only has one missing skins which is Number 5 PlayStation 2 Red Bull Abt-Audi

Does anyone have it?

- Hotfix for missing screen name

• Some smaller visual fixes since v1.12
• Internal driver plate editable with Paintshop in Content Manager

Plate can be disabled with ext_config.ini in case you dont like them.
- No changes to data.acd so prior versions might be usuable in multiplayer
v1.1
- Minor adjustments before public release

Prior release candidates:

• Adjusted fuel consumption
• Fixed brakes.ini + BrakeFX + Calipers
• Rain tyres
• New suspension
• New collider.kn5 + collider.ini
• New LODs
• Reworked digital instruments
• Fixed aero problems
• New damage and dirt textures
• Broken Glass added
• CSP wiper

The 3D effect is achieved by making a Normal Map of the tyre texture.
A Normal Map is like the answer to the question "If this bit was raised from the surface, what would the light/shadow do aound it?"
When you combine the two, it looks 3D.
There are many ways to make them, but easy-peasy one is to make a PNG of the tyre texture, and feed it to this website:

Online NormalMap Generator FREE! Create a Normalmap directly inside your browser! No Uploads required, completely client-based

cpetry.github.io

Then make a DDS from the PNG you get back and rename it. You can inspect the tyre mesh to find the name, but the convention is:
For tyre.dds, the normal map is tyre_NM.dds
Add to the skin folder.

I've found a video with a way to do it with Gimp, works well and is literally seconds to do.



Only thing is this is an old version of Gimp and now you just go to Filter -> Generic -> Normal Map

The Audi is better.

The 2003 Opel is same as 2002 but has better cockpit shaders etc.

I guess someone will need to paint the 2003 skins. anyone fancy it?

7 in total. thats all the Opels and the single Audi

someones done 5 of the 6 skins for the 2001 car with the wrong body and different mapping so ill probably just repaint them all but will save time looking for logos etc.

if your porting FM4 cars can you let us know if/when you done the Plymouth Fury? @MrLonguinha17 was looking for a version which is unencrypted and skinable

Brake discs on the right side of your Gillet are still oval instead of circular. Could you solve the issue ?

with the VAO patch on there are many weird black things on the screen, especially on the racing line tyre marks and on some billboards, also it inverts half of the display in some cars. Is VAO dependent on PP, HDR or something?

I think the detail is in the texture, because when the disc is glowing, the orange circle looks uncentered, maybe the texture is not the proper for the mesh, this happen with some other cars here and there

if you look at the brake discs when the car drive slowly ingame, you will see they aren't really round (only on the right side), or maybe they aren't centered on the axis ...
