The blackened mountains on GutBomb's excellent Miller Motorsport Park mod - is it by design or another CSP bug ? Looks a tad too dark tbh

There already is the fully modelled infield in the VRC-version, but it is not active. You can activate it using blender and then you have the correct layout for the ALMS 2000/2001.

Do you happen to know if anyone has done this? Or if it's something one could do following a guide for doing it in blender (for someone who's never really used blender but is comfortable learning new programs)?

Asking for "a friend" who happens to be running an alms 2000 championship with RSS gt 1 & gt2s cars this summer in their online racing group (real people, no need for an AI line).

On a semi related note, to anyone who's driven the RSS GT1s and found the viper to be lacking in pace, -80/90kg negative ballast seems to do the trick in bringing up mid pack. And if you use emperor server for your online racing, they recently? Added the option to do negative ballast online (not just offline in CM).

Introducing the CART 1990 season for Assetto Corsa!

The season saw Al Unser Jr take his first title and Arie Luyendyk win the fastest Indy 500 at the time, a record that stood for another 23 years!

Mod features:
  • 5 different chassis, 6 different engines with relevant powers.
  • 19 different chassis and engines configurations including oval and road course versions of each chassis.
  • All entries from every round of the series, a total of 88 skins. Many new skins added to the original rF1 mod.
  • Grid sets for each round of the championship, just select the grid and go!

Many thanks to rFactor Pure Formula ONE who were very kind to allow me to convert their 1990 CART mod to Assetto Corsa, and to G0D for allowing the use of his sounds and physics.

Installation:

ACTK is reworking the cockpits of all 90's BTCC cars. Now I'm not sure, but wasn't GT_Supreme who released them on patreon? I ask because ACTK published them as "Unknown" author.

To be fair, it's not every time. It's more like 8 out of 10 times. Some of his reworks actually fix stuff without breaking something else.

And a lot of the mods he reworks are like old Volvos - for each thing you fix, two new issues are created. So be careful with what you need to fix...

little quistion..

i have always set my controls to automatic... play with controller

but wierd thing is ...with some cars it won't shift up from 3 to 4 ...on the shifter on screen you see 3 an then N and so on ,i can also not manual shift to 4

this only happens when i set it to automatic shift

is there a easy fix..

I would suggest checking the AUTO_SHIFTER settings in drivetrain.ini. Maybe the DOWN number is too high. Try a lower number. Here is an example (Honda Civic EG 1994). The original number was 5500 and too high. By lowering it to 2500 the car has no problem with an automatic gaerbox.

I also tried to bring the 92-94 series using Legion's T95 (only keeping the animated suspensions) but it just looks wonky bc the chassis aren't the same (duh)

I do plan to do all those missing years, with updated / corrected / scratch built models (whatever is applicable). I have a very long list of mods that are coming, just a matter of finalising permissions and getting them done.

As for the note about animated suspension, I will look into that. If my very limited understanding of it is correct it shouldn't be that hard. But its amazing how much information is buried away in the deep dark internet and takes a bit of digging to get answers.

Don't like to make requests or similar, but maybe you would find it interesting one day making a 1993 LM trio for f302's Jaguar XJ220 race car, that thing lacks real life skins, but it's a solid mod...

Personally I tend to stay away from his “creations”, although I admit that I have used them on occasion when I have had no other option.

When I started with this sim thing (not knowing how this person worked) I downloaded some of his "improvements" which, ok, were mainly adding lods and some data, but it almost always worsened the visual quality of the mod used as a base, as if he was trying to create smaller files that would work on potato PCs, I guess. But to create visually spectacular and fps-friendly mods, you need knowledge that it seems he didn't have.... I don't know if he has improved over time.
