Today on overtake, a skin modder with his gigantic knowledge of physics wanted to tell everyone that I stole the physics from theraceproject.


I'm busted guys..... I Admit it, with 4 years in here I actually stole the physics from a patreon modder who have been here for a year. It's not like I have the resources to do it myself, or actually copy the physics from a better source.....



(The suspension geometry hasn't changed actually since the first version of the 2008 mod that was released in july 2023, meaning if it's the same, then it's theraceproject who copied me. And it honestly doesn't matter because the geometry comes from kunos)

Ok, windows is fixed, motivation is back. I'm going to roll updates one by one. Starting with the very very very old 2007 mod

2.0 version brings you :
-Shaders, to make it up to standard
-Fixed mclaren leds not being alpha test
-Updated Ao on some cars
-Using the tyres from the 2008 mod to have better look
-2K textures for cars so that they don't look low resolution.
-blurred rims and glowing brakes

A very nice update, thank you for this in the first place, but there's a little mistake for the Ferrari.
The skin "Kimi Raikkonen Marlboro - Early" doesn't have Marlboro on the car..." is there a way to fix that?

No my motivation isn't tied to people opinion, it's mostly related to this

Are you sure? checking the files the skin file in that folder is indeed malboro, and has the same name than in "Massa marlboro early"

I can't read correctly sorry, that caused my mistake... In fact this error exists but not with the early season model, it is the Raikkonen Marlboro skin for the late season one, that does not show the Marlboro logos but lemme check if this is just an error with the showroom

Edit: no it is not, below is a picture of the skin in the game

that's not early though, it has the cockpit fin. Does massa early work?

Edit : now it's me who can't read, the skin file has an extra T so yeah won't work will fix that

I said, that I read the wrong folder accidentally, it is the late season, not the early one, I got it fixed, the files of the skin do have a "T" where it is not supposed to be (wrong naming), example: I renamed "Ferrari_T05.dds" to "Ferrari_05.dds" and that fixed it, same with the other two files where I removed that "T".

In this 2.0 update, I fix many things that you can download HERE

Changelog :

• In first person view, you could see some part of the helmet, forgot to correctly hide them in some cars like BMW sauber
• The dash not working for some people. Removed the dependency of RARE, and included the font file needed for the dash to work
• heikki kovalainen didn't have his name in the skin file, it's fixed
• Honda cockpit fin didn't show up when you changed values in "visual mods"
• AI Cars pitting after 3 laps only

It also brings a new physics, inside ponz_physics folder, drag and drop the content to the cars folder to automatically replace data.acd of all cars.

This physics comes from the previous 2008 mod I did, and is much more friendly to people using controllers and traction control. So if the default physics are too hard for you, swap to Ponz physics to have a more enjoyable experience

You are a wizard, truely revive tracks.
Have you ever considered gave to sergio all the work you made so he could include them directly ? Instead of having 2-3-4 differents version?

Can't say I ever thought of that. Most of the time these mods I do are done for myself because I like a track to look a certain way. Then I make them available for anyone interested. I assume the original track maker made the track to look the way he\she prefers and would have no use for my changes.

In this case, there are no worries about different versions. These are nothing more than track skins you can enable\disable and an alternative ext_config file that go directly into the original track folder. It's not like some of my other mods where the list of changes are so big that I have to make a separate track folder.

Do the GT4 cars by Guerilla Mods work for you guys?
Every time I try to start a session with any of them there's just a black screen and acs.exe stops responding, even the Showroom in CM does this.
I tried reinstalling them but to no avail. I'm running CSP 0.2.7-preview1

What if the E60 AMG got the full on Hammer package and was made a little earlier, just before the facelift E500?For full credits check the car description. Thanks to all parties that made this possible.Cars are made with Pure weather, Pure PPF and most recent CSP version.
