In the cockpit the display used as rear view mirror doesn't work and the driver doesn't hold the steering wheel while he's turning

On my side all is OK. Use the smart mirror app to set the left mirror (there are two, one of them being the one on the dash) to MONITOR.
I had to make the drivers hands visible ( I have them hidden) and they are OK to, as are the cars shadows:

Make sure to UNTICK: CSP/Settings/General Patch Settings/Silence Malfuntioning FMOD Channels

It's an ill-conceived or badly-executed option that kills the audio on a lot of cars.

Thanks again. That did fix the problem. The car now has sound at all times.

I think that puerk0spin was being ironic about those who criticized you (possibly his message has not been well understood, especially the joke about the beach cook, but since out of Spain some terrorist cooks dare to abuse the paella by adding chorizo, you can expect anything), and I was criticizing those who complain and don't know how to appreciate modders who, like you, selflessly share their work. 😉

Sometimes this "thrash-considered cars" are good enough to let the AI fill the grid with them, while I can just choose a better car to drive alongside.

I don't expect to drive all cars I install, most of them are just grid fillers, and it's fine.

In any case, these cars remain installed waiting for an update, if I want to drive, at least a few laps of testing.
