Another skin archiving update. Have added... idk? 100+ liveries since last post (i think i'm starting to hallucinate)

idk if it's to much to ask but if anyone happens to have an Assetto Corsa Forums account that isn't banned (i'd be surprise if someone has one considering they are banning you for as much as breathing) to look trough it and see if there are any liveries on there that are real liveries and worth archiving. Since i can't do that. (Literally banned for just logging into the site lol)

I'm going crazy with this problem, it's truly absurd. I've made changes to Nuzzi's "pit stop" app on the "Monza 88" track by Rainmaker, and everything seems to work if I run a simple race. But as soon as I use the track for a custom championship, the problem returns, that damned loop in the pits returns. What's the difference between a simple race and a championship?!?! Absurd...
You might need to deactivate nuzzi app from settings, CONTENT -> MISCELLANEOUS -> LUA APPS.There you will see the Nuzzis Pit App and once clicked it will have a button at the bottom to disable.otherwise the app will automatically disable itself for Quali & then enable itself for Race sessions on wkd or in a championship.

edit... just realize ancient_3 already suggest something similar ...

You can't just disable the app, you have to go into each track's data folder, into surface.ini and delete the last section that the app adds, otherwise the AI still pit all the time on that track.
 
Hi Peter I've installed pure as instructed and I'm still getting the issue . It appears to be a bit random . I can sometimes activate the pure script with the purepp app ingame and other times I need too leave the game and change the ppfilter then try changing the ppfilter with the purepp app ?
Sorry i don't know what you mean. you don't change the ppfilter with the Pure PP app. It is just there to configure the running script which is loaded with the selected ppfilter.

So you change the ppfilter in the "photo mode" or the "post processing filter" app ingame or in the video settings. If you install Pure 3.01 hotfix it should all work again with every ppfilter in Pure LCS...

Do you use Microsoft OneDrive?

The Circuito San Juan Villicum is a motor sports racing circuit located in the San Juan Province of Argentina close to National Route 40. The circuit is anti-clockwise with a length of 4.276 km (2.657 mi). There are seven turns to the right and ten left. The undulating contours were artificially created by moving more than 700,000 cubic meters of earth. (wikipedia)

Look if there is a LOD section in the track extconfig.ini file.
Or disable TAA (Temporal anti-aliasing in settings /CSP/Extra FX
thanks for the suggestion, but there is no ext_config.ini in that track folder... could I add one and put some LOD commands in there to make it stick to high res longer? If I look into other tracks where the lines don't blur that quickly, I can't find any "LOD" in their ext_config files...

( and I do not have Extra FX enabled , running VR)

I need the app since I have to do a championship 😢 the problem seems to only occur on the Monza 88 circuit and only in the championship; I don't understand what the difference is between a simple race and a championship race? 😅

I'm not a physics expert, so I usually don't edit files to avoid problems. Should I delete the last few lines of "surface.ini"? 😥

Maybe there is some kind of different behavior according to the session in his app, I don't know...

I have started to work on a small AI app for myself (DumbAI, here at GTP: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/downloads/dumbai.7322/), to tackle some issues I found annoying without having a more complexe third party paid app that has much more functionnalities.

First I'm finishing the blue flag behavior that was the most annoying thing for me, but then I'll add some pit stop behavior.

There is already in the app a first attempt that allows to change the tyre compound chosen when it stopped raining and the track has dried. Te original CSP behavior is to put only medium after the rain it seems, so now you can make the AI put soft or hard tyres .

Unfortunately, the app needs the last CSP 0.3.120 as the functionnality "pit when raining" was broken in the former CSP version.

But if you can tell me which kind of pitstop strategy you want to simulate , I can try to make it into my DumbAI in the next version. I don't want to recreate every app of Nuzzi but I'm surely interested in simulating variable pitstop strategies for my own championships.

Yes most lines in there will be about surfaces, grip, effects, etc. Then right at the end will some random group of things, about 4 lines of stuff, that needs to be removed. You can open up a track you haven't used the app on and see what a normal file looks like.
 
Anyone else having this issue with MTS Fuji where the Shortcut layout is just... not working?

(It loads the chicane layout with the hardcoded barriers and cuts.)

EDIT: I'm using v1.1.3. Previous version (v1.1.2) has the same issue.

Sorry i don't know what you mean. you don't change the ppfilter with the Pure PP app. It is just there to configure the running script which is loaded with the selected ppfilter.

So you change the ppfilter in the "photo mode" or the "post processing filter" app ingame or in the video settings. If you install Pure 3.01 hotfix it should all work again with every ppfilter in Pure LCS...

Please continue this at Pure Patreon or Pure Discord Server. We must check things. It seems the hotfix is not properly set or there is a different issue...

Have you also looked if there is a track ini file inside assettocorsa\extension\config\tracks?

You can try with something like this:
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
MESHES = road ;write the correct mesh of the road (or of the white line if it is a separated mesh)
LOD_IN=0
LOD_OUT = 1000 ; 700 is default value

I had the same issue about a year ago and it was related to TTA
 
In blender and learning to scratch make tracks, worked out how to make the road, shrink wrap the road to GIS surface, but question is i see tracks i've converted in blender where the road 'cuts' out the base map. I've tried to boleen it buit no joy so is there a setting in blender to do that? I guess this will make sense to those that know what it is i'm trying to do...

amazing idea ! just wondering can i use your apps per car or is it just for tracks ?also a video tutorial will be great as after messing with nuzzi apps(great ideas) but sometimes they ruin the ai i learn my lesson and stop playing with things i dont understand.this is some of the issues i have with some mods , do you think maybe your app can help with 1 and 3?

from what I see on your video, your points 1 and 3 look like being related to how the car mod is built, and more specifically to everything that affects the road handling.

Point 1 could be related either to suspension stiffness or rebound.
Point 3 could also be related to suspension setups and/or aero setups and/or tyres and/or mass inertia

Some parameters from the Tetri app could help like "aero hint", "steer gain " and "extra grip".
That will modify the entire lap behavior and lap times.

Without modifying the car geometry, and without using Tetri app, you also have 2 solutions to modify these car behaviors
1 - Either you modify the car mod by changing the car data files.
2 - Or you can create a default setup for the car for a specific track.

For the 1st solution, it is better to copy/paste your original car file and make modifications in the new file in order not to alter the existing one when you're making tests.

1 - First solution is the best as the car mod is defective and needs to be improved.
Main files to check and/or modify, related to your issue, are :
aero.ini
ai.ini
car.ini
colliders.ini
electronics.ini
suspension.ini (be careful as modifying this file can alter your mod)
tyres.ini
Then all the .lut files linked to aero could also be modified

Actually it is quite long to explain how it works to modify car files.
You could find a lot of answers in this bible :

2 - The second solution is a workaround and consists in modifying the default setup of your car for the track.

How to proceed?
Select your car to drive it, open an AC session on the specific track
Enter the setup menu of your car
Make your modifications and then save the setup as AI_default .
That will lead the ai to use this setup, except the wings and gear ratios values.

Regarding your issues, you need to soften the suspensions. I don't know your mod so you may have other parameters or may not have all these parameters but here are some modifications you could make :

1 - Suspensions part
1.1 - packer rate --> reduce it to the minimal value
1.2 - travel range : increase it to the maximal value
these 2 setups work together to increase the maximal suspension displacement

1.3 - Anti roll bars front/rear --> reduce them to the minimal value
It allows to separate the influence of one side of the car on the other. Basically, make the car softer when a side meets a bump/kerb and the other not.

1.4 - wheel rate front/rear --> decrease them to the minimal value to soften the whole suspension

2 - Dampers part
2.1 - Bumps --> decrease them but not necessarily to the minimum value. SInce it really modifies the car behaviour, you need to check how the car is running a lap, and especially if it follows the fastlane without a high delay.
I mean, reducing the bump value makes the car less responsive in the turn-in, and you can reduce the value until you witness a difficulty for the ai to enter some turns.

2.2 - rebound front/rear --> decrease to the minimal value, it allows to let the suspension react softly after a bump compression
2.3 - fast bumps --> decrease it to the minimal value
2.4 - fast rebounds --> decrease it to the minimal value

And last, regarding your car sliding, you can try to set a higher value for traction control if available

All these parameters are described from the most influent to the less regarding your issue.

In custom showroom settings (in Content Manager Settings), when i use ''Use Custom Showroom for Previews'' i get the first result.

But when i check the box ''Use CSP for Final Preiews Render'' i get the second one.

First round of the "Supercars Championship" at the Sydney 500.
A race with each car brand (Chevrolet Camaro/Ford Mustang).There were three races over the weekend in March (at the beginning of the championship).

Will Brown / Chevrolet Camaro

Matthew Payne / Ford Mustang

Rafael Câmara / F3 - Melbourne


I intend to do only two races in the remaining rounds (always one with each car).
Soon, Super GT, Super Formula, IndyCar Series (first in St. Petersburg, race in Assetto, the others in AMS2 (reason: rolling start and more fluidity on my hardware)).
Formula 3 (already started in Melbourne).

Whatever is available in Assetto (important categories of 2025), I intend to do all of them (to test).

Many of them I will use in parts on other simulators (RaceRoom, AMS2, EA F1 (F1 and F2), EA WRC (I've somewhat mitigated the crashing problem, I could do something with the Rally mods (much more fluidity in Assetto)).

WEC (LM Ultimate), IMSA (AMS2, despite the lack of important cars in AMS2 (Ferrari 296 GT3 and Ford Mustang GT3)).
ELMS I will do later in Assetto (theoretically more complete in 2025 than LM Ultimate).

Continuing with the story of the "Mille Miglia 1955".
A wide range of options will soon be available (Historical Drivers Career Mode) in various categories (original mods, many of which I will have to adapt).

1940s: still in Argentina competing in races with Ford and Chevrolet Coupé and then touring cars, then leaving for Europe, racing in F1 and WSC (World Sportscar Championship).

Emerson Fittipaldi: 1960s/70s: still in Brazil, competing in the "Brazilian Mille Miglia", with Renault Dauphine, DKW GT Malzoni, Fitti Prototype Porsche, other races with VW Prototype 1600, then leaving for Europe and racing in F-Ford, F3, F2, F1.
He participated in other races during this period with Porsche 917, Ford Capri, Porsche 911 Carrera, Porsche 917/10.
