You can sort overtake by most downloaded, top reviewed etc. I think most of us here have at spent at least an evening or two going through that list :D. Upload & last updated date may give you a little hit as to whether the car may have "new" CSP goodies (Extended phsyics etc). Plenty of good cars that are a few years old+, but just something to look at when browsing imho

Of course everyone has their own preferences and likes when it comes to tracks, but if you want somewhere to "start" with, this is a small list of modders whos tracks (mostly race tracks) I drive a lot and can usually expect a quality "product". Most of them have at least 3-5 tracks if not 10+ I apologize in advance if miscatorgirized anyone on it.

Scratch Built
  • Lilski
  • Sergio Loro
  • JohnR
  • Fat Alfie
  • Gunnar333
  • Todd K (Not race tracks, but has some interesting track mods on overtake that use photogrammerty to build the track, which gives it a very unique & lifelike feel)

Conversions from other games
  • Reboot Team
  • Rainmaker
  • Shin956
  • 13x (NASCAR focused)
  • RMI
  • Gabenhood (Dirt Rally Conversions - Great Pikes Peak)
  • Terra21
  • Legion
  • ACU

Neither
  • racinjoe013 (Track fixes & additions)
  • Mascot (Track fixes & additions)
Another great resource I used along the way was GutBomb's Multiple Track Review list (I think this is the "most recent" version). For many tracks that have multiple versions this gives you a run down on what each brings to the table. Not all encompassing for some newer tracks, but super helpful nonetheless.

As far as screen recording goes, I use the built in windows recording with the win+alt+R keyboard shortcut. But it's more for shorter clips, haven't done long recordings on it.

If that's the SIMTRAXX version you're looking at, there's a more recent version by a fella on Overtake:
Free version on OT, paid on his Patreon (link in the OT post) with more layouts.
Don't know about accurate, but I certainly enjoy this one more.

At Overtake you can use a filter and sort the tracks by user rating. The first 60 tracks are all well made and must have tracks.

And don't miss the fictional tracks by doublezero. They are all master pieces, especially the last one "Kameno 1970-71".
Fantastic. Thanks everyone. That lot should keep me occupied for quite a while!

This is complete nonsense. I've tried everything I could think of, but I couldn't do it. I didn't change anything. The track that worked one race ago stopped working 5 minutes later. This is so frustrating. The worst part is it doesn't give an error message. Just this screen... ugh.
My last task was to find version 1.01 of the track. This older version works with the track. However, I can't load the track in versions 1.2 and 1.3. I still haven't figured out what's causing this.

Thank you so much again. The mod is the next one (there are 5 cars, only works properly normal holden and nissan):

Could you please try the other 3 and tell me if you experience the same?

I'm actually impressed that that video has working AI around Newcastle. I bought a Newcastle circuit which is visually high quality but the AI get stuck on the walls like magnets, so not so high quality in that regard...

If looking in the star list ranking with @gutbomb 2D-festival Brno 1965 at a 4.5 star and faulty @Ginot team Pau 1967 as an 4.5 star track, I do not think this ranking is real star of quality. :boggled:

The star rankings aren't a great indicator but the actual rating sorting (I'm not sure of the algorithm) factors in other numbers like downloads and number of ratings too, I think it's pretty good when you sort that.

I have my own list of vintage tracks I keep with ratings for stuff like AI too, feel free to DM if you want a poke about.

Following closely as my CSP-rendered previews have always looked a bit different than my non-CSP ones. Hopefully we learn something new about it!

I am using Retrolux Previews' preset, if that's of any help.
Much ado about nothing. There is no quick solution to make CSP Preview match non-CSP Preview.

Here you go. I included the original version of any file I changed. After you extract these files, go into the extension folder and rename the camera and display folders to something like camera1 and display1. The name is not important as long as you rename them to something else.

Be aware that i'm am not a car mod guy so i'm sure I messed up something else on the car. So far I haven't noticed but i'm sure there has to be something. If any of the displays don't have text or numbers, it probably means you don't have a font I used. Also, if the middle display does not show a reverse camera view, you will need to configure it in the mirrors app.
For anyone that cares, here is the first draft of the Macca and an updated Adonis to try and make them work with older CSP versions. The goal all along was to try and make the displays look like RSS had intended so you may not like the change to one of the screens on the Adonis. If so let me know and i'll roll it back to my original look.

Just like the Adonis mod from the other day, I included the original files for anything I changed. Also, remember to rename the camera and display folders in the Macca extension folder.

As I type this, I just realized I forgot to assign the slip lights on the Macca. That means there will be an update to this tonight or tomorrow. Sorry about that.

You should search (Internet) for the user "Richard Lofthouse", he made good AI for some tracks of Australia and New Zealand. Will find in a famous Assetto Corsa mod web.

You can try the new AI line.

After the download I always do a testdrive and after that I use my own 3 classes ranking system:
  1. good, like from Fat-Alfie
  2. usable for historical championships, mostly the converted ones
  3. the windows dust bin, Already named the direct to the garbage tracks
Only now I collecting old historical circuits only and not going to pollute my SSD with badmade tracks anymore.
For the rest I’m trying to improve them and implementing extras like sound, banner planes, exchange modern objects to old versions or simple remove these objects.
Admittedly I have only one exception that is “carrieres de Beez” Bad made on all aspects, but such a different drive when compared to other historical track mods.

Hey guys, been way too long in the F1 loop. Haven't driven much else (besides LMU and ACR when they were lauchned). I hotlapped road/GT cars in AC for years before that though but now I don't have any updated cars. is there a good AC mod of Max Verstappen's car that he did this Nordschleife lap with? This video inspired me to drive good old Green Hell again and EVO and ACC don't drive as good as AC.

Thanks for suggestions.

New Year's Resolution for 2026:
- Get my garage down below 1,000 cars again, and stop keeping substandard cars that the modder himself obviously didn't even care enough about in the first place. My collection has somehow crept up to over 2,100 cars, many of which I'll never drive again. Cull with brutality.

Sim racing hopes for 2026:
  • A CSP build without any significant annoyances, especially ones that were previously fixed and have inexplicably returned.
  • A CM update that finally fixes that friggin' bastard memory leak.
  • For all car modders everywhere to realise that glass is not supposed to cast shadows.

Yours?

Resolution for 2026 :
-to retire

Simracing hope :

-less focus on chasing trends and teams making 3 variation of the same car, but instead fill in the gaps

-less focus on money from the community, but more on creating content AND contributing. Instead of forking a car at each edit and release it elsewhere. Too much "projects" that can just be merged into one to rule them all

-a graphical combo that can last the whole year, without any CSP update that radically change the look.

I'm still furious that I spent countless time tweaking both showroom and pp filter to get the perfect look. For the trailer of the 2012 mod. Tweaking the lights. And all of this is gone in CSP 2.0+

I will never get this back

My sim racing hopes:

Hopefully someone could improve AC's ai and implement blue flag / QF outlap ai in it.

There's no other simulator I want to drive anymore (besides F1 2020). I've tried them all. EVO drives like ACC. I know it's early access but the devs don't seem to have any plans on changing that as those paid? Youtube sim racing influencers praised it so much. I don't think 0.4 drives that well. Very lifeless front end feel (just like ACC). I played it for hours and thought "well this is okay". But then I switched immediately to AC1 (Kunos track, exact same AMG GT Kunos car) and it's like night and day how much better and more natural AC1 still drives. Do the same test yourself. You have probably never driven a real car if you don't feel it. How can't they duplicate the driving feel that they themselves did 11 years ago? Is the guy who made AC's force feedback retired or what?

EVO has some good cars though like 964 Turbo 3.6 which actually drives ok, they got the good old 930 "pendulum swing feel" emulated to the driving quite well. But overall EVO has been disappointing to me because you don't have the same good, responsive driving feel. LMU is okay but very limited offline game. Hotlapping gets old fast.

If you forget the actual driving feel and FFB, F125 is actually very good F1 game which has superior AI. I had quite a lot of fun with it and played 2 full seasons. So much improved over 22,23,24 and it's nice to learn those new F1 tracks (as I've only played the classic AC F1 mods). AI is ridiculously superior compared to any "real sim". But even that game has driver ratings totally screwed up as Ferrari constantly wins races and Hammy constantly is on top of the championship standings (beyond ridiculous how they made the ratings). But the AI is so amazing compared to "sims" (besides the rain AI which has way too fast AI). It's actually so sad how AI is more or less broken in every single sim. On AMS2 it's okay but I can't stomach the driving on that.

So any AC1 AI improvements are on my wishlist. In retrospect buying all those new sims has been pretty much just a waste of money. AC Rally is the only one that I feel has some real potential to be a classic. But others... nothing drives like AC, not even close.

Happy New Year everyone!

PS: I never collected cars to my CM. I just keep the ones that I actually drive. I just recently downloaded Capri 3.0S mod (I had a real one in my youth) and it had modern Porsche performance. That was just nuts. :D I know there are some great street car mods but there's just so much funny stuff too. I don't even know where to start if I started collecting them to my CM.

Fully agree with reducing the garage down is way to go, I halfed all my cars and then halfed all the tracks I had installed. I drive more varied now than ever, as when i go look for a different thing to try out, everything I land on is interesting or worth trying out. Now my count is 650 cars and 170 tracks. Before with too much choice I would just default to the odd favourite!

My resolution is:
  • To actually expand my garage (currently at 530 cars including Kunos ones) keeping a good balance of well made mods and "ok mods" of obscure cars
  • To improve my AC modding skills (I can fiddle with ext_config.ini just fine now, also added a few dash elements to cars that didn't have those and created new soundbanks from scratch), maybe even getting to convert a car model to AC and create my own car mod.
  • To actually fix my recent issue with AC, borderless fullscreen and exclusive fullscreen clashing (get a lot of stuttering in borderless fullscreen but not in exclusive at the cost of less seamless alt tabbing)

For things that are about AC but not really about me:

  • Better CSP previews would be good for those kn5 encrypted cars
  • An actual mod of a Cerbera Speed Six and an Alfa Romeo GTV 916
  • Get to see some breathtaking advancements concerning CSP, CM, or AC modding as a whole.

Happy new Year you all!

Real studio CSP previews

Hi all, after nearly 1 month of fiddling and tweaking, I hereby share my new CSP preview preset for you all. It should cover all type of cars, without having to change the FOV to get a decent result. I always wanted to have a preview which looks like that the car is really inside a photostudio, and I think I really got the sweet point with that.

You need to have the following:

1. download Retrolux showroom and put it into .../content/showroom --> https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/retrolux-studio-showroom.25772/
2. create a folder "extension" in rl_studio folder
3. put my ext_config.ini into (remove the .txt!)
4. apply and save my .cmpreset in CM from this link --> https://acstuff.club/s/Q45C
5. click "update CSP previews" (make sure you have ticked "use csp previews for final render" in settings --> content manager --> custom showroom)

Some example shots.

Smaller cars

Medium sized cars
1767139075530.webp

Larger cars like SUV

GT
1767139197465.webp

LM
1767139256005.webp

F1
1767139282939.webp

Note: this will only work with CSP 0.30p212. Former CSP versions will not have the car in place as in the preview and may differ. Please don´t alter any setting after applying the preset, otherwise I cannot guarantee the result.
You may experience some errors with URD and RSS cars. Just try again and be patient. This is a current bug in preview 212.

And, last but not least, crap mods remain crap mods. The preview may not solve that.

Hope you like it, please give some feedback.

Cheers, and happy 2026!

As we head to 2026, 60 years after it's debut, we now have the 1966 Ferrari 330 P3 in Assetto Corsa.

Fully scratch-made model by Nugget & NPanic, based on historical photographs to ensure it meets the AAA standard we now strive (and achieve) for our historic mods. Car is modular too, with winglets that can be enabled/disabled, each impacting the physics.

Probably one of the best looking cars ever, and definitely one of our best 3D models so far!!

WSC Legends is thriving ;)

Good afternoon.
Here is a link to additional versions of the cars from the 1971 season.

I had to adapt some models, such as the Matra version (Monaco).

I am attaching a pack of skins for the existing models.
I did quick tests in (Montjuich, Zandvoort, Silverstone and Monza).
Most of the cars (there is an alternative in the pits, changing the traction control), it is up to each person to have more fun.

All models (driver_70) and some models (driver_70_fe, I think it is more detailed).

Some "skins" have both types of files (as you can see).
Some skins for some models (I just adapted them).
Improvements possible in the textures (by "MrHunt").

Of course, nothing is perfect and you may find some problems or minor defects.

A high-speed circuit (particularly with F1 mods), with many turns at no less than 100 km/h... and the last three turns feel insane at 200+ km/h. The effort in concentration whilst blasting around this track is on another level - managed to work a sweat after 20 laps.

Happy racing & have a Prosperous New Year!!!

...don't forget to set a few new year resolutions, @Masscot is on the money here!

As promised, added the slip lights to the Macca. Also made a small change to the Adonis. Nothing drastic so if you are happy with the way it is, don't bother installing the Adonis files.

Honestly I'm so confused about what the heck is going on with this bunch. I joined the Discord thinking it was part of the AC Track Tools that I had bought, only to find out its some guys add-on for that that shortcuts using ksEditor it seems. Fluffy is linking this AC Track Tools you are talking about here, which is done by Nendotools and seems to do different things to Tomas's AC Track Tools which is what I bought.

Meanwhile I see that someone is claiming that Fluffy has only taken Nendos's tools and added some AI stuff to it, which Fluffy doesn't deny under a GPL licence rule. It just feels in general like this Fluffy guy has hijacked everything to claim some Patreon bucks, seen as he's locked it behind a paywall.

When I tried to get some clarity this is what Tomas replied:

BruceDZA

So just so I understand, if I've previously bought Track_Tools Beta from Superhive, that will be irrelevant, or not updated now, and I need to get this rather?

  • Tomas

Nope. TrackTools are for building the track, this is for exporting it to Assetto Corsa. Both tools will be updated further.
So the way I understand it now, Tomas's AC Track Tools makes the tracks, and is quite good, Fluffy Garage has hijacked the whole scene and "made" a plugin which skips you needing to go through ksEditor. 🤷‍♂️

Hello everyone.I needed to find a mod for the Dallara F 301 or F 309.
