Well the news is that I don’t get it working in game, it wont wave as the rFactor tail
the main problem is that from the rFactor GMT file of the tail, the object files are not open to be exported (encrypted?)
in those files also there is a object tag for animation that I now miss, i think

I "think" is has to be created by scratch again in Blender or 3dMax but i am not a expert
If I look at these animation then the animated bits of the supercharger are ksanim files, stuff I have no knowledge off

Come one who know how to have it working on the Manta, I know you want to :)

The famous VLN Opel Manta it had a wobbling foxtail, in rFactor the Manta had a foxtail
it would be great to have it in AC to be authentic, the problem is I have not enough knowledge to get it working

Thanks to forum member "shi" the tail is in AC but missing the wobbling animation
If I have the tail correct working in 3dsimed and export it it will not hold my changes and shows up as below
i must be doing it wrong

Wish I had more knowledge of the modding stuff then a gorgeous face and body lol

I don't know, maybe someone is interested, I slightly modified ext_config.

@BruceD is there a chance to have LODs for your great openwheelers?
I am looking into it. I had someone kindly do them for the 1988 cars already but I am looking into doing them for the other cars now too, just hit some technical issues so they didn't happen with this last release. I think I have it solved now, just need to do some testing.

The RUF was/is pretty hard to BOP properly, as the original car had no downforce at all, it's about 90% complete though the power needs to be adjusted as the car is abit too fast on the straights, the interior was also redone with new textures as the originals were too shiny and looked plastic. The Murcielago LP640 needs to be tweaked to be inline with the other cars in it's class, and the Gallardo will be released once I do the next few cars from it's class.
The top class of cars are now much faster than previously due to them being BOP'd around the F50 GT since the car was originally OP but is infact that good with a good enough driver. This was done as the originals did not give enough of a challenge IMO and every "A Class" car previously released has been updated.

Upcoming changes for other cars:
Saleen S7 TwinTurbo to have adjusted downforce and gear ratios since the first and second gears are too long IMO and severely impact the performance.
Toyota GT ONE has been nerfed in lower performance by quite alot to simulate the turbo lag from PGR4.
F1 LM performance has been completely reworked and the car is actually a tad bit OP now due to the changes.
Aston Martin DBR9 will be BOP'd to be faster though the car in PGR4 was comically slow in A Class so it will still be quite slow though on lower difficulty it may be possible to win.


I was asked a few weeks ago what the purpose of my mods were and to that I will say that i'm such a fan of PGR4 and PGR3 that I decided to kind of turn AC into a sort of fan made "PGR5", as once I finish the list of cars that I am working on and plan to do, I will adjust certain cars to match the theoretical performance of levels of cars from a similar class that said cars would've been included in if PGR5 came out in say 2015 for XB1, meaning very new cars aren't exactly planned. Ex. The Kunos LaFerrari will match the A Class cars.
 
I've noticed when I'm updating downloading cars, any skins that don't come with the car or that I created myself are being deleted. That hasn't been the case before. Have you guys noticed this and is there a setting to turn this off?
 
Did anyone have any experience with The Bend “official track mod”? I would really love to drive around that track, but I’m not in a condition to spend 20 dollars (per layout) and get a bad content.
Looking at the mod pictures think this will be a disappointment for 80,- 🤑 Guess now I'm getting trolled by the creators, but just take a close look at the pictures, all to clean, not realistic. While I even guess in VR it's all to flat and comic book looking. If financial condition is critical, I would not take the risk, get for 80,- carmods from RSS, URD or VCR while driving on a free to download the Bend circuit.

It features also two different handling depending on Michelin or Bridgestone
Speaking of tyres, why both brands have some strange compounds like Michelin Slick or Bridgestone Fuji Soft? Also it seems that some ai cars use that Michelin slick in race.

This is amazing. Have you considered pulling some of the PGR 3/4 maps?

For once, I’ve got two questions for the modders in this thread :gtpflag:

- Does anyone have the March and Benetton skins for the 1988 MP 4/4 mod made by syncmaster (MAK-Corp) on overtake.gg (not the VRC)? I’m desperately looking for them to complete the 1988 grid for this mod; I even tried making the Benetton myself but unfortunately it’s way beyond my capabilities. If they don’t exist, would a skin specialist be kind enough and interested to look into it ?

- Does anyone know of a mod that adds spectators to the Valencia Street circuit (ACU upd. by Delta7Fox which is on Breathe list) ? I’d like to do it myself to complete the 2008 season and have all the circuits with spectators, but again, this is well beyond my capabilities. Would anyone who finds this easy have the time to do it if it does not already exist ?

I hope these requests don’t offend anyone. If I had more free time, I’d try to do more myself, but lately I’ve been devoting what little time I have for AC modding to the DumbAI app...

This year Shanghai uses the grandstand where normally the JIADING wording is present. Since pyyer ignored it to adjust this in his extension, I did the adjustment.

Place the lines into the main ext_config.ini under ....content\tracks\shanghai_v2_25\layout_f1_2026\extension

Track is Shanghai v2.25 @Junshen Wu are you able to model the new grandstands correctly (there is now a big gap in between these grandstands)?

How to place spectators in this area now?

When there is a will there is a way!! sort of :)
I took 1 file of the tail and used it for a wobbly bit



Problem i see in replay is that at distance the tail disappears
if that can be fixed somehow would be great, lod?

Delete old files as the ext_config file has also some improvements of Dan_88

Yeah, 80$ for a track I’m expecting it to be RT level or above. We truly have some amazing modders who make content for free.

I wish he didn't crash out cause I loved his stuff, also talked to him occasionally on discord, probably annoyed him with some stupid questions but he was always helpful. I kinda understand it though, he got a lot of dumb people screwing with him on discord over his mods from time to time, one occasion I was involved with firsthand because Tom asked me to sanity check his Lola. There was nothing wrong with it. Thanks for the M4 GT4 upload btw, like I said before I love seeing the iHtuning boys engage in hater activity over Brazilians, it's very funny to me.

I have now found a car where I think the sound of it can well be used for the Manta. It might not be 100% perfect either, but I prefer it to have the totally wrong sound of an Alfa.
